is this a fold? Sunday $5million with JJ
Pocket jacks are the bane of my existence, so I'd tell you to fold them anyway, but... C'mon, man. It's not even an hour in yet, you don't wanna stake the majority of your chips on JJ just yet; there will definitely be better spots. =P

Norm MacDonald New Host of 'High Stakes Poker'
+1, Norm MacDonald is the nuts. A real comedian's comedian, which really just means that the average joe doesn't find him funny. But to those in the comedy world, absolutely brilliant. :D But, to be fair, I think people are right to be concerned -- I'm not sure Norm is the best fit to host a poker show, despite being funny as hell.

Roger on that. Transferred $150 altogether from AP to Stars with Degeneret, and it was quick and painless. A++, etc. And now, I finally have a confirmed transfer! Yay me.

Still wanting to do this trade. Can do a little more or a little less, depending on your comfort level. I'll send money first, since this is my first transfer.

Official Site to Site Transfer Thread
Hello, new to this thread, and really to posting in general. As you can see, though, I've been a P5s member for a while -- I lurk, mostly. I have $50 on Absolute Poker/Cereus (SPASM_VOCALS) I need $50 on PokerStars (Kenjiblade) Please send me a PM if you can help me out. I will send first to a reputable player, as this is my first transfer. I have more than 50 on AP, but I'd feel more comfortable with just transferring 50 for the moment.

You gotta love the $2.20 180's man!
Haha, this. The 2.20 180-mans used to be my bread and butter. I was winning them for a time, although the stress and constant grinding got to me and I gave up. I'm just starting up again as of this past weekend, and I am rusty as hell. Counting down the days before I make a FT again. :(

Re:how is your scoop table?
It started out that way mostly to account for late registrees (huh, I was just guessing on that being an actual word, turns out I was right...haha). Anyway, I just doubled up off the same guy again, so I don't hate this table anymore (I'm at 21k now).

Re:how is your scoop table?
Here's my table: 5 players 1 empty seat 2 guys sitting out 1 guy is playing pretty aggressively. He had been going all-in every hand, but stopped that after I called him with rockets and doubled up. Granted, he had already doubled up from me with a massive 36o, so I was just winning my chips back. :) Well, here's hoping the tables even out a bit after the first hour.

Re:first quarter
Err...Well, I might as well chime in here. February was a blast for me, at average stakes of $5-15 I managed to eke out $2k or so. As for March...terrible month, rarely cashed at all, and when I did it was usually just making my buy-in back. So, here's hoping to a better rest of year, same for all of ya!

Re:PokerStars Paper Checks
Mmm, I sure wish I could live off of condescension... =P Anyway, about the Canadian checks: if you have experience with these, does your bank generally give you a hard time about depositing these' Fwiw, my bank is Bank of America.

PokerStars Paper Checks
Just a couple quick questions about these: 1. Are people still receiving US-based checks, or are they exclusively issuing them from outside of the US now' 2. Roughly how long does it take for you guys to receive your paper checks' I know the PS website says within 15 days, but I'm really hoping that the average wait time is at least a little less. For reference, I would be getting my check sent to central California. Any help would be greatly appreciated; thanks in advance!

Re:pokerstars e checks!!!
I'd like to know as well -- does Stars only issue from out of the US now, or are US-based checks still possible' Sure would save a lot of hassle at the bank, which is seemingly increasingly likely as the echeck withdrawal looks like it's going to fail. :(

Re:pokerstars e checks!!!
Some of you guys actually *are* receiving the eCheck withdrawals in a timely fashion' Here's hoping mine shows up by tomorrow, considering that's the 10th day after it was processed successfully... *crosses fingers* *uses wishing well* *prays* Edit: Though, if it doesn't show up by then, and I request a paper check, it should take considerably less time than the 15 days maximum they give' I've heard a lot of people saying they got theirs within 3-5 days, so I'm hoping that would be the case (mine would be going to California).

Re:pokerstars e checks!!!
Thought I might've been the only one...I have one approved on 2/12, and another from 2/19, and still haven't seen anything in my bank. :( I sent an e-mail to PStars Support, and they basically told me to wait until a certain date before checking back with them again. -_-

Re:is this a bad call?
Looks like Wu made an attempt to steal the blinds, and you called him out on it. You were right, but he got lucky on the river. Seems standard, and unlucky for you. However, you only had 5k invested prior to his all-in, so folding still leaves you with 18 BBs or so, which is plenty to wait for a better spot than this. So, I can't say I love this call, and if anything you should've been raising with your hand, as it would've made it a lot less likely for Wu to have played his 6 high preflop. :(

Re:who's taking shots tomorrow?
I'm a small-timer, and I won a satellite into the Sunday Million just a couple hours ago. So, definitely taking a shot here, hopefully it doesn't go tooooo horribly. :D

Re:which do u use? AP or UB
When I *did* use the Cereus network, it was under the AP interface. However, it has been (thankfully) several months since I've touched that site. My preference currently is PokerStars.

Re:Best value sattelite to qualify for pokerstars sunday million?
I personally think it'd be best to spread out your efforts in multiple satellites if possible, if only to account for variance, given that turbo tournaments tend to require you to win races more often and/or catch like a god.

Re:Best value sattelite to qualify for pokerstars sunday million?
There's also a 2700 FPP satellite which gives out 4 seats, just like the 5400 version, but with 20 people instead of 10. Both of these satellites are turbo tournaments, so be aware of that before you decide upon it.
