FF Question on who to start
In a league where TE's count as WRs, I have Dallas Clark and Calvin Johnson for one WR spot. Johnson is a stud but they play a very good D in Minn this week with a rookie QB. Clark should get even more looks with Gonzo being hurt, plus Mia had trouble covering Atl last week. Oh, the scoring rules are TDs count as 6 pts, 9 rec or more score points on an increasing scale, and 90 yrs rec score points on an increasing scale. I have Johnson in the lineup, but I'm wondering if I should switch.

While he may not be a QB anymore, I think a team may take a chance and sign him to play a slot receiver. Think Randle El or Kordell Stewart. teams that may have interest in my opinion: Redskins (it's not like Dan Snyder hasn't taken chances before) Oakland (Al Davis would certainly give a guy like Vick a chance) Seattle (liberal city and a new coach may want to make a splash with a high upside player)

Yes, I'm a Reds fan. Obviously if there was a better option in CF , I'd love to have it. But he's better than the other options we have. I just don't think he sucks. He's not great, but if you could shave 20-30 Ks off his numbers and add 20-30 walks, he'd be a prime leadoff guy. Doesn't seem like such a stretch. Believe it or not, there have been bigger improvements in history. LOL Anywho, I'm not going to get into a pissing contect man. I'm just a casual baseball fan who think his team got marginally better. Not dramatically better...

Right, I agree it's a bad quality, but it's something fixable. I'm not outside waving Reds flags because they signed this guy. I do think it makes them better. You can't teach speed. I'm trying to find some defensive numbers on him. Unless he made a ton of errors, I'm wondering how he could be bad defensively. All the media reports are commenting that he shores up the defense in CF. I'm not some homer that's clamoring that the Reds are World Series bound now that W.T is signed. I just think it's a decent move that improves two needs for the team and makes ...

Nope, your opinion of Willy T. isn't what I said was dumb. I said the needless flaming, when combined with a bad opinion/comment, was dumb. But it sounds like you two have some history which has no bearing on Willy T. To which, I couldn't care less. As far as W.T. goes, the only thing he does poorly is not take walks. He didn't hit many doubles, but that doesn't really matter because his singles are for the most part doubles, and he's not trying to drive in runs. I think a decent hitting coach can help him get closer to what he was in '07. But hey if you were manager ...

If you told me that nearly every time my leadoff guy got on base, he'd be standing on 2nd, I'd be pretty happy - and I'm sure most Managers would too. I'm not saying the guy is awesome. But to flame a guy needlessly - esp when his comment was pretty bad, is just dumb.

Gotta agree with JHaas here Waco. He's not the second coming of Rickey Henderson, but he hit .320 with the Rockies in '07, is still young at 27 yrs old, got 2nd in '06 to Ryan Howard for NL Rookie of the Year, has a lifetime BA of .283, led the league in steals last year with 68 (also had the best SB%, so it didn't take him 90 attempts to get his 68), and plays a pretty good CF. To say he sucks, is kinda talking out of your ass here bro. You may want to take another look at who's making stupid posts about sports.

To the person that posted that AA should be used to mirror the racial makeup of a city: I worked in a very large company in Indianapolis for 9 years. The department I worked in had roughly 25 people in it. There were about 20 of one race and 5 of another race. When one of the 5 people quit to take a new job, they had to post an opening to take her place. LOTS of people applied for the position, both internally and from outside the company. This is a very good point. I remember reading about this movie and the day they broke the news that Heath was going to be The Joker and I was very disappointed. Obv he was a terrific choice. It should be clearly obvious to you, if you are in fact in law enforcement, why they won't just "cancel" the transaction after you refused to identify yourself. What if that card was stolen, and they just cancelled the deposit' The funds would end up right back on the card and the fraudster could try at other places to use the stolen card. You're going to need to give them ID to cash out anyway, so why all the fuss'

Just don't think I could bring myself to call with 99. It doesn't seem like much, but a significant chunk of Deeb's super huge shove range is junk like QTs through ATs. With TT, I'd have that many more hands dominated. I'd obv insta call with TT+ AK and AQs are clear calls in my mind. AQo is where I start to wonder...

Third Base's action has no bearing on the overall expectations of a blackjack player. Even if he takes the dealer's bust card on that particular hand, it changes future hands to be dealt from that shoe. There are times when it is correct to hit against a dealer's stiff card. If you are using a counting system and a lot of the face cards and aces are out (this is bad for the player), then it can be correct to hit a 2 or even a 3 against certain stiff cards of the dealer.

I'm sorry... I'm just not sold on the Jets as being a Super Bowl contender. They did beat up TEN pretty good, but TEN was bound to have an off day sometime. You have to look at the Colts and Cowboys as being there at the end. They are extremely talented and the injured are starting to come back. NYG are clearly the best team right now. There is a muddled pack of teams that could all win, probably as many as 10.

I am reasonably good at chess (upcoming goofy brag post), I won the state tiltle my Sr. year of high school. Played a few tourney when I was in college, but the time invested in relation to money won wasn't near worth it. A lot of bigtime chess players are moving to poker as they potential to make more money is there. My last rating that I remember was 1926 (500 is a person who can barely make legal moves and Bobby Fischer/Garry Kasparov play(ed) in the 2700 range). However, the VAST majority of players are in the 800-1200 range.
