Everyday spot but sucks everytime you do it With 11/2 on VPIP/Preflop raise , he is limping with around 80% of the range which may also include AQ , AJ . The stat of limp ,reraise preflop is 0% . that may force me to fold . but at that time I did not have time to look that stat up , so my idea to post this was to see how can you find a fold just looking at VPip /preflop raise/ Aggression factor/ frequency of aggression . Now we need figure out of 11% hands he is playing and 2% raising what range is he reraising with . I think he may do it with AA, KK QQ JJ TT 99 AK . I am crushed against AA and KK , Against rest of the hands I am on ... Posted in: MTT Strategy |

Is this a right move to make here ? My flat pre was because he was running 10/6 on HUD on 215 hands . I put him on a 99+, AQs+, AQo+ . If I raise and he shoves I am inviting a race or I am behind , by flatting I see the flop and act accordingly . ON the flop I raise to determine if he has 99, TT, AQ or maybe AK , because all these hands may fold to the raise , he shoves with As, Ks, Qs and Js . that was my thought . I am looking if my thought process was right or not with the stack size I have '' Posted in: MTT Strategy |

Is this a right move to make here ? The UTG+1 player has been tight , so I elected to flat his raise pre . But on the flop is this the right move to go with my stacks or not ' If he shoves , I can fold . Is the size of 3 bet ok . Did I play this right?? I have been quiet for 10-12 hands , I have a nice 3bet jam spot , I believe I should have jammed if there was a bigger raise , just to steal the blinds . But as it was a min raise , the 3bet shove did not feel right , so I opted for flatting . I believe it was a mistake to flat pre , as I should have 3 bet or fold , but well I did flat , so what now '' Posted in: MTT Strategy |

I hope this is standard the villian is a ok player, nothing out of line play reads . PT showed his stats as 19/4 with 0 3bet till now in 50+ hands . He has winning stats but has played over 1300 tourneys in last 4 months. The first limper (utg) was kind of tight , no reads PT stats were 8/8 out of 12 hands . My table image is also tight , I had shoved 88 UTG+2 around 10 hands before and doubled up against AQo . Other than that in last 60 hands I have shown JJ and AA only . Trouble taking decisions on spots like these I am 3xing in both hands . The 2 players on the table have been flatting the 2.5X raises a lot . I felt 3X raise was getting much respect .so I started 3xing it . The hand which looks like 6X is actually 3X because blinds are 80K/40K. the BB is Allin with 910 chips . Regarding the stats as asked by chardrian , I have attached a jpg file with PT stats showing . Where V is VPIP, P isPR, 3 is 3bet, C is continuation bet on flop, A is Agression factor, F is agg. frequency. I normally don't use the PT pop up stats I have posted by reads on the player in the first post . Posted in: MTT Strategy |

Trouble taking decisions on spots like these What about the money aspect of it . 9th gets paid $300+ and 1st is 8800+ . In the first hand I am 4th in chips, cant I fold my way for better payout with 2 players shorter than me . In the second hand I am chip leader and it is the start of the FT . Sure I am not guaranteed anything but calling with TT for half my stack and giving away the chip lead, Also going down from 50BB+ to 25BB makes me lose lot of my plays which I can make if I fold on this spot . Trouble taking decisions on spots like these These are the hand from the FT . I came as the chipleader and my image had been of kind of LAG and willing to call people light when I had chips . I have been up and down few times during the last 2 tables . I won a huge pot from the villian on the last table holding A9 vs 66 . The villian had been fairly tight aggressive and has not shown any weak holding . My question here is on the first hand , What should be my action . as 2 players are fairly short. How much role luck can play each day My views to the subject is that skill can run over luck , if you play long enough and make most of the decisions correct . I have seen this and proved this myself again and again in my poker career of 2 years . But yesterday was one of those days where luck gave me the toughest beat ever in 2 years . I played 6 tournaments in total and went deep in 4 of them .they were all MFTOPS and SCOOP. I was in the cash in 2 of them and 2 were close to money and I had over 40 BB in all 4 of them . Each of them ended while I was holding As or Ks . In 3 tournaments I had Ks and other guy had As ... Posted in: MTT Strategy |
