according to the 911 transcript Zimmerman himself says that Martin ran and he got out of his car and chased him. I wonder how close to Zimmerman's car Martin was shot.

well, some point after Martin noticed him, he started to run away and Zimmerman chased after him. So I think yes. I guess if Zimmerman was just sort of walking slowly behind him, no...but if you run and the guy starts chasing after you I think his intent becomes much more clear and you then have the right to defend yourself. Of course, this is where Zimmerman defenders say that he has the right to defend himself against Martin defending himself.

if we are just asking ourselves "who was more likely to have started it"...we have two options. The guy who admits he was following some random kid, had a gun and felt "they always get away". Or the kid who took a break from watching TV to run to the store, get some skittles and a drink, and talk to his girlfriend on the way home. Just seems unlikely to me that Trayvon was gonna see "brb baby, there is some dude, I'm going to go kill him." Zimmerman was in his car right' Has he ever explained why he got out of the car'

crazy guy would call police all the time reporting people he thought were suspicious. One day crazy guy sees a black child walking down the road at night eating skittles and decides he is probably up to no good. Crazy guy follows the kid with a gun. Some type of altercation happens. Crazy guy shoots kid dead. Crazy guy walks away with not charges. Public outrage. They decide to arrest him afterall. He's going on trial for murder. Some % OT thinks crazy guy is a hero. some % of OT think he is a crazy guy that killed a kid.

I literally go in to my dashboard and turn them on and off to reach "prime time" for different regions. So I might let them run for a couple of hours when the East Coasters are grinding, then turn them off. Then turn them back on for a couple hours for the Euros, then turn them back off etc. Sort of have to ride the throttle with them to really maximize your exposure, otherwise you burn through your impressions right away. And through trial and error you can discover when people tend to click on them and when they dont.

I've had some do as well as .2%-.3% in very short runs (they tend to trail off over time as I tend to target pretty small groups for short periods of time). Average is probably more in the .05% - .15% range. edit: ads linking to your Facebook business page tend to outperform ads linking to external sites. in my experience.

She does seem pretty wonderful tbh. Seems like the kind of person that not only should we be trying to get to visit here, we should be trying to get her here permanently. Also, Richard does make a good point about Romney's choice of VP. Interesting dynamic.
