Re(4): SunPoker MPP Stats from 3/20
i played late last night for about 1 1/2 hours and racked up 60 MPP points. The site wasn't bad at all. It took a bit to get used to the raise bar in the NL game. My game was fairly soft. Made a couple hundred and look forward to playing there again. Good work guys. Nice Job Cal/Adam etc and the Sunpoker team. Now i can keep up my tourneys at Paradise and have a good live game at SunPoker and not have to utter the words UB for a long time. UB - the worst customer service in the history of business. Bob

Canadian Heads Up Poker Finals.
Congrats to James Lopushinsky (UB's Dampest Hawk) for his 250K win. 64 entrants, with a guaranteed prize pool of 375K made for a nice overlay. James defeated pros such as Doug Lee, Brad " Yukon " Booth (also a great friend of his) and he defeated Huck Seed in the Semi-finals. Poor Huck had finished top four in both the National and Canadian HU finals. James is a great friend of mine and a great poker player. He has moved up quickly in the UB ranks and will be a force to be reckoned with in the near future. Here is a link to the site which has the brakcets of who played who.

Any truth to this UB rumour?
I know that quite a few of the top pros have had thousands of dollars from their accounts just disappear. i know of one that had at least 60K just leave. I have heard the rumour that an internal employee has gone and accessed accounts while servers were down. It took over 2 weeks for UB to respond to these high level players and some have still not got their money back. Any one else having problems like this'

Canadian Heads Up Poker Championship
just thought you guys would be interested in this. It is being held at the Calgary Stampede Casino as we speak. The likes of Antonio Esfandiari, Huck Seed, Krazy Kanuck, Serb2121, LFISGD(yukon Brad Booth), Dampest_Hawk. It is a 5K buy in event, it drew 64 players. I will try and find a link for you for results.

JJ & Zee Justin should be glad that they didn't live in Vegas 50 years ago. Not only would the Casino "tough guys" would take them out to the desert, i believe most poker players would help them. Cheaters deserve what they get.

don't worry too much croupier. i remember playing lots of those late night 5 and 10 dollar tournies with you. You always played those excellent. consistent play like you described will keep you winning. The coin flip hand was just that, a coin flip (easy call for you) and how are you going to get away from KK there. not too many people can. i saw you on the list with about 25 to go and was very happy to see you there, it makes me think i can get similar results. gl. sharpoosehead

hi there, i would love to see higher buy in events then the ones they usually have. I would love to see another $30, as the 8am is too early for me. Anything that ranges from $20-$50 would generate 50-100 people for sure. They could always keep the smaller buy in ones for the players already dedicated to it. thanks. sharpoosehead (bob)

Jim Rome is your typical American, and typical American Sports Fan. He is narrow minded when it comes to sports only thinking the big American Sports are the only sports that are worth watching. He doesn't realize that the rest of the world thinks most American Sports are boring and have the overweight lazy athletes (ie: most first basemen and DH's in baseball) Pure athletic sports like Rugby and Soccer take tremendous endurance and skill. (not to mention that they don't use regualar subs) . I can watch baseball at World Series time, I can watch NFL because i bet on it. I usually flame on ...

Day 4 is about to get under way. Internet watchers will know at least two names in the remaining field, "gigabet" (Daryl Dicken) is a little short stacked after peeling off a lot of chips to Liz Lui late last night and "LFISGD" (Brad "the Assasin" Booth) is sitting in the middle with about 675K in chips. I'm sure there are a couple more internet guys left along with the other names we already know. Good luck to Gigabet and LFISGD.

whats the rake on the 5K sng' and how many do you have to play to make the 150K in points. why not sleep for 4 months, cough up the 28K to play in the tourney and be well rested for it!

straddle rules in no limit
hi guys, thanks in advance for answering this question. in NL hold em, can a player under the gun straddle' If so, by what amount. b/c its NL, can they straddle any amount they wish and still have a live raise when it comes back to them' or is it only by 2x the BB' please help.

maybe they made a deal earlier in the final table, or even earlier (like 30 players or something) you never know when you need to cut a deal. maybe dannenmann said something like...hey hachem...lets trade 10%, and if were lucky enough to get heads up, lets chop it. lots of deals like this happen all the time.

just read the blog at poker pages...they broke the first table and are now down to 99 players. that would mean 108 players in the tourney....they also said everyone showed up that was eligible. i guess that would mean that they didnt invite anyone that wasnt suppose to be there. some great mike matusow comments already....and everybodys favourite phil hellmuth among the chip leaders...

My Pokeshare Update.
i had emailed customer support at poker share to get the tracking number for my fedex cheque. they replied quickly with the tracking number. after going to and entering the tracking number, i am able to see that the cheque is on its way to my hometown, where its been etc...it is suppose to arrive tomorrow, but since i am in the far north, i expect it on friday. this has calmed my nerves a lot. now, i will just have to cash it. :).... i would love to hear from Noah's friend in this situation. I would love to hear some of the hand histories, bad beats, good plays he did through out the tourny. Hey, who doesn't remember a lot of the hands they play in a tourney, especially the one they busted out on. Now, i know that noah could just tell him what happened and they could cover their tracks, but i would really like to hear from his friend to verify these accounts.

once again, if people were cheating, pokerstars would never know, because the smart ones would have more than 1 internet connections which would create more than one IP address. It would then be impossible for stars to know they are cheating.

i believe what happened was, andy dufrense hired team holland to dig the tunnel for him. When one of noah's buddies passed out from digging and going backwards, noah would then step in a finish the tunnel for him.

there is nothing really stopping you from having two different accounts on pokerstars. have 2 email addresses, 2 computers, 2 internet connections, and transfer funds back and forth and just cash out through one account. UB lets you have 3 accounts on one computer. it is quite known through lots of players that they have multiple accounts on different sites. note on side...i personally only have one account on any site i play. i am not condoning this as the way to play online, but i do know for a fact lots of people have more than one account. if there are 10 players, there would be 10 computers, 10 different internet connections and therefore 10 different IP addressess. If you were making all this money, why would $500 bucks a month for intertnet access be any more stress on their bankroll than $50. the only way a site like pokerstars could catch them would be to be standing in the room with the bunch of them. Personally, I find it unsportsmanlike for them to be playing tournaments like this but in the same breath, as long as the sites allow these rules there is nothing we can do about this.
