Re(1): Need help on improving my game, and making money! With your bankroll you can either grind out the $5.50 or $6.50 sngs, the $4 180's, or (and my suggestion) would be the $10NL cash tables. I know you haven't had success yet but there is so much easy money at those stakes, if you play solid poker you can crush these tables. You have 19 buyins so you're sufficiently rolled for those stakes. You would need one hell of a sick downswing to go broke. Don't play any higher cash tables than the $10 buy-ins for now. 4 table them and work your way up to $400-$500. Take a shot at the $25NL tables, and if you win there keep it going. If you dip below ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): I will never go BUSTO again. (brag post) You seem to be thinking very short-term. You're setting yourself up for failure with a goal of taking a shot at 1-2 NL while being vastly under-rolled. Why set a GOAL to be playing with a completely inadequent bankroll for the stakes you want to play' I would encourage you to play no higher than .25/.50 right now and work you way up to at least $1,500 before you take a shot at .50/1. Work that up to $2,500 and then THEN take a shot at 1-2. Move back down in stakes if you ever dip below ~12 buyins for the current level. Even this is not exactly conservative bankroll management, but it's ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): why are there no $50 6max nl cash games on bodog? +1 for 50NL 6max tables on Bodog. The absense of 6max tables for this level is just mind-boggling. It makes no sense to have 6max 25NL and 100NL but not 50NL. Also, more than 3 tables. Why restrict it to such an odd number' I'm sure it has at least something to do with their picture-in-picture mode but come on; forget that crap and allow real multitabling. Re(2): how long to make $250 into $500 playing $10nl?? I guess to each their own but I've had much more success at the micro limit cash games than I did in the 5$ SNG's. And I'm not talking about going on one hot run over a weekend, but longer term play over tens of thousands of hands. Plus I personally don't like the robotic nature of SNG's. Re(1): how long to make $250 into $500 playing $10nl?? I've done two $50 bankroll projects, one on Stars and one on Bodog in which I started with a $50 deposit and played the $10 buyin NL tables exclusively (full ring though). Within 1 week on both sites I was at over $250. I cashed out on Stars because the rake was killing me at low stakes, but I'm still going strong on Bodog. At about 14k hands on Stars, my profit was $233. My total rake was $177. BTW, Bodog rakes = 10cents for a $20 pot. Plus the players are A LOT worse, even at the micro limits. To me its worth it for those two reasons to put up with their absolutely horrendous software. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Set on tricky board... your play? As played, because I didn't raise pre I could be up against anything. I can only go by his bets and I don't see anyone re-raising on that flop without something strong. I don't see QT as likely because I have a ten, Q9 is possible. I'm really thinking he has a straight here. I folded after his bet on the turn... I just don't want to push in an unraised pot when he could have flopped a straight. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
