Article: PPA on Online Poker Bill Failure: "Extremely Disappointing End" to 2012 Trips, I feel your pain and can totally relate; almost every fucking career I have had and invested time, education, and $$$ into has been fucked by our wonderful gov't. I have been involved with individual and group health insurance benefits, financial services for many years. I would be the first one for health reform if it would really help the people, but all obama care does is raise rates for people that actually work for a living and actually pay for their health insurance. Reform my ass! Dodd-Frank just adds layers of bullshit to the financial services community and does nothing to ... Posted in: vBCms Comments |

Sites supporting play on an ipad? Thanks Duke; I really appreciate the input. I will definitely get the app. I am thinking that the mechanics of using the app are that i log onto the poker site on my desktop, like i would usually do, but iteleport transfers the data to my ipad, allowing me to play on the ipad, making the ipad doable for playing, where without the app, the ipad by itself would be incompatible with the poker site software. Is my thinking correct' Thanks, Ken Posted in: Poker Sites |

Hand discussion Thanks Ryan; was a little larger than normal, but he recently picked up alot of chips, and had room to play (over 1.2 mil) maybe, foolishly, i thought i still had some fold equity with over 400k, plus if called, thought i might not be that much of a dog when flipping. Still, when he reraised, i immediately thougnt "ak", and maybe just should have folded; i hate aq off to begin with, and final tabling this one would have meant alot to me. Oh well.... Hand discussion I would appreciate input on the following hand (paste to follow). I want to know if i donked off, or if i can consider it a semi-cooler. Basically, deep in last nights FT super stack 7pm 15 guar., over 2300 players, down to 17. Blinds are 8k/16k 2k ante, 40k in pot before any action, i raise to $48,555, one player who has me greatly covered re-raises to over 127k, im sitting with over 400k, i raise-shove with my stack, holding aq, he calls with ak, im gone. Had i had more chips, i could have taken a more cautious line (call raise, bet out 3/4 pot on flp, take it down right there, or fold to ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Starting to wonder about a "fair" game; i know about variance, but this is SICK!!! Please read below my correspondence with FT, and please share your thoughts: Hello Ken, Thank you for your email. At Full Tilt Poker, our goal is to provide the safest environment possible for playing online poker. Security is our foremost priority, and providing the fairest games available anywhere is a cornerstone of our business. In the past, a few poker sites have had the security of their online games compromised, and learned the hard way that it must be treated systematically with careful planning from the outset. We have the most up-to-date technology in place to maintain the ... Posted in: Bad Beats |

AA Vs. 55- Hand Critque Saukendar, So, you think i should have raised more to around 7x pre on the button; thats what my friend told me as well (Im thinking i should have raised 4-5x, the big stack prob would have called with his small pocket away, he had the chips to speculate on hitting his trips, but at least he would have been making a bit of a mistake calling. AA Vs. 55- Hand Critque I am hoping to get a critique of the following hand, to see what if anything i did wrong, and what i possibly could have done better. The hand occurred during the Borgata Winter Open, Event # 14. This was a $170+$30 buy-in, one re-entry, that attracted 1100 players. the blinds started at 25/50, with 40 minute levels. For most of the tourn., i played well, winning pots uncontested, or having the best hand at show-down. I was pleased i didn't have to use my one re-entry. Later on, with the blinds at 500/1000, 100 ante, 330 players left, 100 making the $$$, average stack size in the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

My brain is bleeding over this hand; any input will help me, thanks in advance Thanks, good advice there. I should have raised his limp, especially since for most of our playing time together, he was rather passive. He definitely would have folded a marginal hand, most prob re-raised a monster, at which time i would have tossed my k-x suited junk. Don't think he would have flatted tha aces, so i would have been safe. Thanks again :) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

My brain is bleeding over this hand; any input will help me, thanks in advance Thanks, Allin, You know, im either a total moron, or was totally caught up in the blinds vs. blinds thing. In the back of my head, im thinking, he's in the small blind, no way can he have a hand :) yeah right. I totally discounted the hearts, to be honest, my mind would not even let me figure them into the equation. I didnt think he would limp with aa or ak, but i should have figured him for the case k with a better kicker, or worse, k with one of the two other random cards (again, sb) and he filled up, i didnt. I definitely should have let it go. Maybe one of these days, i will ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

My brain is bleeding over this hand; any input will help me, thanks in advance I really think i fked up. I had a chance to run deep in this tourn; i was in the bb, the other player in the sb. He had been playing tight/passive for most of the tourn, but in the past few obits, he had begun to open his game. Please review the hand, as i am hating life today over it. I am confused as to if i did the right thing, or if i should have gotten away from the hand. Right now, i am thinking i should have folded, since i didnt full up, and he was showing me he was mega strong/or a full bluff. I still would have had a workable stack if i folded: *********** # 2 ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Poker school recommendations We all have to choose a path or a track to run on, in poker and life in general. After 3 or 4 years of playing almost every game type online, in cash, mtt, or sng, I have decided to specialize in limit holdem cash games, short and full table. While this might not be the most exciting choice, I think it will work well for me as an individual. The purpose of this post is this: I want to join an online poker school, but most of them center around nl. Can anyone recommend a school with above average content and training for limit' I've already read all the books, and want to take things ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Omaha hi limit cash games My primary game is Omaha limit (hi only) cash games. I find it very hard to find these games on the web. While most sites offer it, almost all the traffic seems to be in the pot limit versions, which I would rather stay away from. (a mistake in limit is an annoyance, in pot limit, it can be deadly). The best site I have found so far is Party Poker; but even there the amount of players and games available in Omaha limit hi at any given time is marginal. Does anyone know of any other sites where there is a following for this game. Any leads will be appreciated. Thanks, KO1u0 Posted in: Poker Discussion |
