Strategies as CLer after getting HU (MTT) i dont post much anymore but as of late i've been subjectively analyzing my MTT End-Game more closely and keeping track of my recent results at FTs; particularly when I make it heads up. Thought this could be a valuable topic to discuss. Unfortunately i've noticed a pretty disturbing trend the relatively small sample of data.... it looks like I'm actually playing better and taking back the CL more often than I should when I enter HU play at a significant chip disadvantage...... The winner of Pocket Fives Only-tournament for TV wasn't a member of Pocket Fives very classy of P5s and theman200050: i doubt it was rigged....heads up poker is incredibly volatile and high variance...notoriously swingy! i've had this kind of thing happen more than I'd like to admit, especially in turbos where the ranges are even wider....ive lost several times like this someone winning half a dozen all ins in a row with the worst hand. Tyson Ford is the man! 1. you are an idiot. i place the filter on STAKES to show that i am a big winner at the levels I GRIND. when ive played 95% of my 6k games at certain buy in levels, I think its only fair to assess my play at those stakes. and yes, I have won a few thousand in satty tickets and you can see that easily if you filter for Sattys only....which is why my results in higher buy ins are so skewed. let me do the math for you...i win a $109 seat for $11. sure it will show $98 of profit at the $11 buy in range but when I go play the nightly $109 and use just 1 bullet and bust out before the ... Never Give Up On Your Dream? i think for a few sessions you should just play poker and forget about everything you've learned, everything you know about ranges, PFR numbers, 3bet %, etc forget all that crap and focus on just making each individual decision one at a time....trust your gut even when you know "i only need to be right or good X% of time here"! screw all that! be like water.... play more defense instead of forcing your gameplan/ranges/cbets/aggression onto your opponent, focus on how to beat your opponents at their own game! try this for a few sessions and do NOT look at your BR during these ... Article: PartyPoker Removes High-Stakes Cash Game Tables jax- im sorry but i have to respectfully disagree here... i just do not believe the decision was solely about rake or profit margins.... i'm not saying your wrong or that these things did not factor into their decision, but I tend to think the sites are smart enough to look at the risks/rewards of making such a drastic move. theres no way management at Party ignored everything else and simply plugged in a bunch of data using the formula given above and then decided to remove the games strictly because of this "ratio of money won to money raked"...sry it just cannot be that simple, do you ... Revolution (Cake & Lock) Deposit & Cashout Thread so i just sifted through this entire thread as i was thinking about playing some stakes on Lock/Rev and I'm curious why I dont see anyone complaining about normal check cashouts on Lock...all the complaints are about WU cashouts' is this because there is no longer any other options or because only the WU withdrawals are experiencing these issues/delays' basically has anyone cashed out via check on Lock since they switched over to Revolution'' what were your experiences' Posted in: Poker Sites |
