Getting value with nuts (big hands) live i probably sigh out loud, act frustrated while checking, then act scared or ready to muck when he contemplates. Then when he bets ur gonna get it in probably. If he doesnt bet, just slowroll him and say, i have a ten and show one card. Then say just kidding when he rolls aces. Depends on your history if you think he will bet, i guess if he thinks you will check call with marginal hands he will bet or would have fired with the 4. If you are pretty sure he has over pair and you plan to fire river, i think you should make a small raise on turn and take him to value town.. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Going to MGM Grand Detroit tomorrow.......any advice? This weekend should be extra juicy in Detroit. With the North American International Auto Show starting this weekend, Kid Rock 40th birthday concert on Saturday, and the Red Wings playing on Friday and Saturday there should be more action than normal. Greektown is closest to the events downtown and is a good choice (has 5/10 PLO on Saturday at noon). All the casinos have their pluses, Motorcity big BBJ and MGM may have more rich donks playing. Detroit players - Greektown specifically I was at Greektown a week ago on Sunday. They were running a 100 dollar 25 dollar bounty tourney and it had 6-7 tables. The guys at my table said it runs every Sunday. They also said there is a 340 dollar tourney the last sunday of every month. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
