Re:State of Minnesota to block access to online poker sites!!
This would never even been brought up. People in Minnesota have decided to tighten up their belts and save their money in this terrible recession. Now nobody is going to casinos or spending their money on the lotto. So lobbyists are stuffing the pockets of are noble constituents to block online gaming, so we go to the reservations and throw are money away in the indians crooked casinos. Or the million to 1 shots in the States lotteries. I got an idea, time to move I rely on the residual income from online gaming. I dont win alot but enough to help pay the bills along with my other work. ...

Re:was this a huge mistake?
I don't have any information on the players on ur table but heres my insight. Villian raises from utg which signifies strength. You are holding QQs the proper play would be to reraise 8k more chips which would leave u with roughly 20k chips. If he reraises all in then u have to decide whether or not he has AA, KK, or AK typically thats what ur facing on a reraise reraise. if he smooth calls ur raise then ur in huge trouble with that flop. I guess im going broke in this pot. Just making the money in MTTs is not profitable u need to build a stack for the final table. The UTG raise here is ...

Re:insta-fold?
I think that raise of a dollar preflop spells disaster. Look at that raise with JJ, raise from 50c to a 1.50 he could call with any range of hands. He definately could have 2 overs and a diamond with the ace, u couldnt keep my chips from going into the flop with those outs. He could of set! He could flopped a straight. He could be playing QQs scared lol. Only thing u can beat here in my opinion is an overpair like 66s 77s 88s 99sTTs. In my Opinion raise more preflop so you can try and get better information of range of hands. If you take blinds and get no action so be it, but at least ur not ...

Some one actually thinks possibilities in a dollar tournament' Lmfao. If your posting these, you have advanced to at least the 5 dollar tournies. My cousin plays dollar tournies and he gets excited when he wins 4 dollars, he will call me up and say i just made another final table, lol. I keep telling him to move up in stakes, he may be the king of the dollar chumps. He will say hey you want to join me in a dollar turbo, ahhhhhhhh no. When u play these levels you will never get better you have to play against good players to get better. You can by rule play 10 percent of ur bankroll. Move ...

Re:What do you think of K8 soooooted?
This is my opinion and you can take it or leave it! Blinds are 10 20 you can raise this hand up to 70 to try and take his 20 chips. Chances are he will fold not really willing to commit alot of chips on a ragged hand this early. Then u will have 1520 in chips be the MAN! If he calls ur raise, he will be in position through out the hand BIG DISADVANTAGE with a mediocre hand. However, he wont think u have K8s but u flop a king u might be in trouble if when u bet and he reraises you. Will you reraise back or call. I think raising with a trouble hand out of position is very dangerous and often ...

Re:Ridiculous play....or just bad timing?
This play is very successful near the end before cash or after already cashing. Please do not stop making this aggressive play in the future. The small blind is the most respected spot raise from other than under the gun. My only problem is you had both of the limpers call you, most of the time you can get these to fold and take down the pot right there. Also your raise was too small, when your gonna make a strong play from the small blind u have to raise at least 4 times with one limper and at least 5 times with 2 limpers. If you get called you know they are either calling with strong ...

Re:Time to gamble or time to swallow pride and limp
u dont even call a raise and a reraise all in with AK, you fold this everytime. I think your a good player and realize that u would rather have no action in front of u and push in with J9s and try and take blinds then go in that situation. Thats just me, but I fold that everyday of the week.

Re:Flopped middle set on A92 rainbow flop and want to fold
This is almost to ez, he either has AA, AK or KK with the reraise lets play it out now. the flop is A92 rainbow its a big pot, what's the odds this guy bets out pot of 80 dollars on flop with a set of aces into you. HE WONT. So we look at AK probable, he could be betting 80 dollars hoping ur dangling with AQs or AJ and smaller kicker and trying to take down the pot right there or take the chances with his kicker holding up. I can see that play. So AK is definately a probabability. KK, very possible he has KK here he could be betting pot out to see if his KKs are really good here and is ...

Re:is this standard or could i hav avoided either of these hands
The AQ hand is a cooler and really I dont see folding in this spot. How I play when I flop trips is hard and fast, I try and take it down ASAP here is why. When you play trips hard and fast no one thinks you flopped trips because why would you bet out trips you would want action and slow play it. So your gonna take down a huge pot if anyone has a ten in this spot. Two, lots of people limp in with PPs because they are cash cows if you hit a set and letting someone hit a set on you and you will go broke most of the time. Always lead out betting trips you may not get a dime but it is more ...

Re:Stars $50 rebuy final table
You may or may not have the best hand here, but hell you have a open ended straight draw and an overpair. You also have 50k chips in the pot and 120k left. Option 1. You can move all in and try to double up and take a commanding chip lead on the Final Table with at least 8 outs or maybe 10 with the 2 6s u have. Maybe he folds after your move all in and you will have around 230k chips and be in good position for more money. Option 2. You can check the turn and river and let him either catch on you or you win the showdown by check calling which is a very weak play and usually is not good ...

Re:I was told I played this very bad....u be the judge.ty
I love the aggressiveness but this hand spells disaster 80 percent of the time. Here is why, u had 15k so you didnt have much time to gamble and had to make a move soon i get that. However, the person who called ur flop bet had 12k left and called ur 3k bet, i do not understand why he didnt fold or reraise all in but thats why he is a 3 dollar tournament player i guess' Point number two, flop is AJ9 with 2 hearts out there u could easily make your straight but what if it is the sucker straight for instance a Q falls on the turn and someone is holding KT for broadway ur straight is owned. ...

Re:What does he have here?? Any Guesses?
This is a 3 dollar micro, the beginning of a tournament. These players are mostly inexperienced players and often put it all in with any 2 live cards just to try to gain an edge of a chip lead on the table. If they win the 3 handed all in they will accumalate 4500 chips and be able to to call every raise under the sun to try to hit lightining in a bottle. My guess is either a set, straight or more likely 2 pair with some random hand. This post does not seem to be a hand advice but a post to lay off some steam. If you want legitimate advice please post a post where we can try and help you. ...

Re:Any way to get away from AA here?
My problem is ur raise preflop, u raised it 3 x bb from 200 to 600. That is a raise when you want lots of action and u definately got it. When you have 4 people going to the flop with AA ur chances diminish immensely compared to if u were heads up. I think the proper raise here is at least 4 times the bb. Look what happens when you raised 3 x bb now u have 2 legitimate callers now the bb has pot odds with any random hand to call 400 more and how often do we see bb catch lightining in a bottle, and he called just for that reason although he didnt catch but it could of been disaster. Now with ...

Re:Call or Fold?
I disagree with lord, unless he is last to act with AJ then call. AJ is a suspect hand and may have the guy moving all in or maybe not but it is still gambling to any random hand. With a hand like AJ and someone moves all in, depends on the player and what position I am in to make a loose call with AJ. So many hands are lured in with a big pot to get some chips to make a run at the tourny guy could of reraised all in with KQ off but how do u call that reraise all in with AJ. AJ is a terrible hand and usually is behind at least 3 to 1 when the all in. AK AQ AA KK QQ JJ KQ I put KQ in there ...

Re:A spot that I find myself in. What is the best way to play it.
SB is the worst spot on the table. I only raise really strong hands from this position, because with a hand like QJd its a drawing hand and making top pair with this hand is often fatal. AQ KQ another guy with position holding QJ. With a hand like QJd you are not trying to make top pair and risk your whole tournament, you are trying to make a straight or a flush or 2 pair. I never risk my tournament on top pair unless my pot odds dictate or I have a great read on a player. Tournament play is about survival and raising hands from the SB, your gonna have alot of very tough decisions to make ...

Re:Final Table hand please give me some advice
U are the lowest stack on the table, u have AK unless u are seeing a raise and reraise in front of you. You have to push this hand and take the blinds and raisers chips. If u dont get called u will pick up around 6k in chips if u do get called u will be in top 3 if u win. Go for the win, dont get cute.

Re:Hand From the Brawl
lmfao, catching an A or Q i doubt would make ur hand a winner so ur looking at a flush draw. You dont have enough odds to call and I lay this down and get this chump when u have him crushed to at least 70 percent 30 percent situation. I actually think this guy has AA or KK and is afraid of the draw of the diamond. or being outplayed so he instashoves cause he would rather lose showing down then wondering if he made the proper lay down. Thats my read on his hand.

Re:MTT 20 buyin middle stages
I would probably limp, in as well with KJ its only a 100 chips you have positon to everyone on the table. U say u only have 1200 chips, well the most chips you will get is 1550 if no call on ur push. Furthermore, if you push and run into a guy limping with AA or one of the blinds has a monster than ur really screwed. Now if u get any favorable flop with KJ even with a semibluff draw such as QT5 or T98 u have position and I would take a chance and try to pick up a multiway pot chipstack. Limping is usually the wrong answer but since you dont have many chips why not try to pick up a bigger pot ...

Re:Lay down a K high flush?
There are a few ways u can play this hand and none of em are wrong and it dont matter about the nomination. Im assuming this scenario is early in a MTT (Multi Table Tournament) 1. You had a Royal Flush Draw, giving u alot of outs. You can bet this hand out real strong or check it and raise it. Which is a play I may use here. Unless someone flopped the nutz they will be scared of this flop. Even if this guy had a set there is a 30 percent chance of getting drawn out. 2. Or you can play it weak and not get involved in this hand but thats poker I am probably going with scenario one because I ...

if u dont know where ur at always reraise, it exemplifies strength and often gets the answer your looking for. And if ur reraise is gonna make the odds proper so u cant fold with ur reraise, well then trust ur gut. Its poker and u cant win alot of poker playing just AA KK AK AQ and hoping to set with a mid PP. Need to start being to able to read ur opponents on betting patterns. Also, check some of these guys stats, look on bluffmagazine dot com or sharkscope. Some of these players could be raising with 89s u have no idea. lmfao, this is everyday dude. I dont know what ur table was like but ur the raiser and he put u on AK everyone who raises preflop subconciously thats the hand they put u on. This dude flopped openended. you bet meekley to take the pot down he called on his draw. U check turn, he tries to steal on a semi-bluff. U push all in, now he calls cause he odds to do so now. Future reference it was basically even odds for him to catch up with his draw and 2 overs. If you want that pot and u think ur best like u say u r so good at. Push that flop hard and dont let him catch up without it all being all ...

Re:Is this too nitty with no reads?
Here is the thing, these hands are optimum of getting chips. U often can break AK when u flop 2 pair and u have implied odds if u flop 2 pair or trips for 70 more chips. Just cause u flop an Ace doesnt mean u have to lose ur whole stack because you hit an ace. If you can fold aces if u make aces then there is no harm in seeing a flop. Not to mention the possibility of hitting a nut flush draw in which you can semi bluff the pot and pick up some chips early. I prefer A5s and lower though because u can flop a flush or straight and still make 2 pair. Once u master the are of learning how to ...

Re:Could you really get away from this !!??....
To be honest, I do not think there is a professional poker player who could fold in this spot. The way Ferk played this hand it looks like he was trying to protect his hand top pair off the flop. Then the card that should make him cringe on the turn, he pushes all in. I never fold in this situation and I dont care what money nomination. I dont care, if I am almost ready to cash in a tourny. It was almost like Ferk could see your cards and knew u had a lower flush, this is the weirdest I have ever seen anyone play a hand like this. You did nothing wrong, the only thing u did wrong was u ...
