Re:Clarify a small maths question thats bugged me for awhile
before the 4 and 2 method I used to work it out like this 52 cards in deck 13 of any suit you have say 2 hearts in your hand and the flop has two hearts so you know 5 cards so there are 47 left 9 hearts left now i used to just times the 9 by 2 which is 18 because if you times the 47 by 2 you get 94 so its close enough to a percentage for me and just times it by 2 on the flop to give your two card percent

Re:Clarify a small maths question thats bugged me for awhile
yeah so i need the real reason it is 36% on the flop I cant be right if everyone in the world uses 36% even I do. I just wanna know why lol the mathmatical reasoning for it or watever bugs me so much.

Re:Clarify a small maths question thats bugged me for awhile
yeah so ur calling 100 to win 400 like that will be the total after you called i ment ha we dont work in fractions here, im not talking about working it out im talking about your get there percentage IS NOT 36% unless you see two cards so how can you base your turn call on that 36%' when in reality its your first go at a 18% chance''''' And whats with the last coment thats like anti implied odds get it in early on the draw' lol

Clarify a small maths question thats bugged me for awhile
Ok so awhile ago i was think about maths in poker and the 4 and 2 method and was thinking why if you have a flush draw on the flop so 9 outs so roughly 36% why is it 36% and not 18% and 18%. So when someone bets 100 at a 200 dollar pot on the flop and your calling your flush draw ur calling 100 for 400 which is 25 percent does this not make the call incorrect unless your guranteed a check on the turn' It seems odd that you can call the 36% on the flop then the 18% on the river.

Re:rigging concern with hard numbers and huge sample.
Honestly sounds like me I almost continuesless get it in good then get smashed by dominated garbage hands. I went though my last 50 pocket pairs and I won about 10. 7 of the 10 being no call preflop like wtf' my pocket pairs never hold up and my overcards never hit. They say you run bad but not for 3 years or so like me. It is bullshit

Re:rigging concern with hard numbers and huge sample.
I would absoulutly love to know how often I was losing a over pair to under pair Im pretty sure it is way off anyway someone could find that out' I may just be being stupid and just "See" the ones that lose but it seems like I lose at least 1/2 of my over pairs

Re:Tricky spot or is it not tricky? Omaha Hi
Serious' Ok toally agree that im crushed. But if I hit which I still do have alot of outs I cash serious instead of a rather dry 4 or 5 times the buy in. I honestly thought this was almost a snap call. Maybe you can help me on a little with the maths' say as in the above example I have 13 outs' which is roughly 52% maybe a lil more since its omaha (extra two cards that you know of) Is there any way of deducting from that percentage because you know that off the 45 cards left 8 flush cards kill you at the most and at a average guess of there hands there is 6 or 7 paired board cards that kill ...

Re:whats my range?
Im not sure entirely how you play but you could be holding any two' been folding to 3 bets. So you decide im ganna 3 bet him with 56 of spades or something. Im thinking hes ganna be the one with AJ Spewing about how you reraised him with junk in the trunk and hit it square.

Re:folded top two, good or bad?
I take it your an online player gone live' Consider these things do you know who they are how they play' You have $500+ ild say you do (even if you dont my general assumtion on people is the younger the looser older the tighter with some exceptions.) table loose or aggro' While your pondering you decision are they fairly keen to see the next cards or are they very comfortable' Are you in a casino are they total tourist fish' Do they just like getting there money in' Where I play I know the players fairly well and I could tell you depending on whos in the hand if this is a call or a fold ...

Re:Tricky spot or is it not tricky? Omaha Hi
Yeah I here you I knew I was well behind. BUT If two of them had sets the board pairing was less likely if two of them had flush draws it was less likely it was coming. This obviously doesnt increase my chance of winning but it increases the chance they wont improve there hand' Does having 13 outs on the flop mean that I still have roughly a 50%+ chance to win when obviously I have to dodge so many cards' I think if im in this situation again I will still call if I win 1 out of 5 of these hands and make top three then its worth it probablly even 1 out of 10. I really wanna know the logic ...

Tricky spot or is it not tricky? Omaha Hi
Ok so about a week or two ago I was playing in a $24 omaha hi tourney think the field was roughly 160, It was bubble time so prolly around 20 players left. Im just sitting around average stack and this hand came up. I had a wrappy double flush draw hand on the button there was a preflop raise UTG with four callers including myself. I do not remeber exact cards but I ended up with a full wrap. The UTG bet the pot then the first caller shuved and the next caller shuved. So as far as I could tell the UTG had AA or KK possibly suited as there were two spades and I basically put the other two on a ...

Re:To Bluff or not to Bluff?
Thats what im trying to say your second question there. I only attempt to "Bet" them off it If I think I can, Im not going to throw money away. I have played for quite some time now so no I am not a donk. I would say im knocked out of 7 out of 10 tournaments when im the fav when the money goes in sometimes they have odds to call sometimes not but I cannot seem to get away with any bluffs. What I was asking was are people capable of making laydowns in 10 dollar or less tournaments online' Its kind of weird because in a live game I play its a 10 rebuy every week. You just cannot ...

Re:To Bluff or not to Bluff?
So old on one second here little light may have just went off. When people are polarizing there range. They are really 3 betting more early in tournaments to through huds off so three bets get called more when you do it late with real hands' I always wondered why trying to polarizing your range would have any significance in mtts. I guess everyone uses huds or am I way off'

To Bluff or not to Bluff?
Im having some doubts that bluffing even works online I play lower stakes so I know its stupid to even try bluff. Anyone feeling the same obviously everyone bluffs late tourney, but even now sb and bb will comonly call u with q high. I played some $24 buy in tourneys and it seem that some of them have the ability to lay down a hand any insight as to when people dont call all in on the flop with 55 on a A J 4 flop' because they were still doing that at $24' Or is that just the way people roll online'

Re:When do you get your break?
Yeah I hear you. You can get lucky and run over tourneys to an extent, But I know when you get deep how your surposed to play. Ive read Kill everybody which I consider one of the best tourney books around. I think my main problem is roll management. I dont care what people say im not ganna grind out a roll in .5 .10c or lower. Were I play its $.50 $1 live and I just cant go down to like a 10 dollar buy in its to frustrating. I started playing mtts with the daily dollar. I played for around 6 or 7 hours and made 10 dollars so obviously I wont be playing them anymore. I dont even know what im ...

When do you get your break?
Hey it seems that I play pretty good in tourneys, apart from the fact when it comes to the make or break hand I get bad beat. Seems the poker gods dont mind me final tabling a 5 dollar game but as soon as its $10+ they decide they will throw me out around the bubble of my tourny with aces vs queens and they hit there q or ak vs aq When do I catch my break' Ive started just playing omaha cash now and not so much tournys. Should I just keep grinding out tourneys till I get one or what'
