I signed up through here for rakeback on Lock, but haven't deposited yet. I just received an email from Lock saying that I do have rakeback, but in the instructions on P5's it says I have to deposit first. Do I still need to deposit at least the minimum, or am I good to go and can fund my account with a transfer'

It's rare to get a tell that is 100% reliable - all they are to me is one more piece of the puzzle. For example, it could be the determining factor in a coin flip situation. It would not, however, be enough to get me to call if I think I'm behind 80% of the time. The only time I've gotten a 100% accurate tell off someone was at a 2-3 game. An otherwise solid player would immediately put a hand up to their mouth immediately after looking at their hole cards preflop if they had a monster. Best action with the biggest NL game is at the Palomar club. Very small cardroom with only about 8 tables, so the wait to get in a game may be long. Oceans 11 is a large poker room, usually has 2 or 3 2/3 NL games; 2 or 3 5/5 NL games, and 1 10/10 NL game going. Food is very good and is free at 5/5 NL or higher; dealers, management, and in general is probably the best run poker room in the SD area.

Only two things I can see from PS site is that now I get to play in the freerolls for Supernova's and I get 2.5x for fpp's. Anything else they're good for'

You're right, but that's exactly why I posted this - to find out how better players would've played these hands. As it turns out - 1. I fold, he shows KK. 2. I fold, he shows 2-3 offsuit. My read was right (that he had nothing), but like damage says above I should've flat called.

1. Blinds/ante at 400/800 100. UTG makes normal raise to 2000, mid position flat calls. I'm in the cutoff with QQ, raise to 7500. Folded to original raiser, who pushes for 75k, mid position folds. I have 150k, would leave me with 75k. Opponent is new to table, has only played one hand. What should I do' 2. Blinds/antes at 500/1000 100. Folded to me on the button, I have pocket 10's. Raise to 3k, BB raises to 10k, I call. Flop come J, 5, 7 rainbow. SB bets 12k; I raise to 36k, he re-raises to 75k. I have 160k, he has me covered.
