Low-Mid Range Pocket Pairs I feel that my game really struggles when it comes to how to play low-mid pocket pairs. Here's a perfect example, suggestions how to better handle these situations would be greatly appreciated. Re:Is this a fold? This hand passively. As a result, I don't think you call on the river. However, I definitely think you have to open the flop, or at the very least check-raise. On the turn, I'd say fire again. But yes, to answer your original question, because of the manner in which the hand was played, I'd fold. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Tough "Life Decision", need some quick answers (LONG) Obv its a tough spot. But as a college junior myself, I'd say absolutely go for it. Personally, for the last 3 years poker has taken a backseat in my life to school. I've done very well grades-wise, but my game has taken a massive hit. You're already in a bind being on academic probation and all, why not try and succeed in the poker aspect of your life' Missing 5 days of classes with no tests, quizzes, etc. is NOT going to make or break your semester; but winning this tournament, or at least gaining some real life experience in a different place CAN change your life. I have actually went out with "SirCrafty" on several occasions. He is not a guido, nor douschebag. In fact, he is the frattiest of individuals; sporting a Ralph Lauren sportscoat and polo button down, Rock N' Republic or 7's Jeans, and a GQ pair of loafers. Not to mention a ballin' Omega wristwatch, but that's neither here nor there. Most of us could "bounce girls back" to a hotel room wearing a hooded sweatshirt and pajama pants. ...
