Re(1): Possible to do this well?????
Well done. Now play 949 more, and then you can start looking at the numbers. And even then, you're barely ballparking. Very few people really understand "variance" beyond the concept of "it means that sometimes I'll lose"..

My Blog..
Hey guys. I don't post here much anymore because I only play cash games now... (except for the odd exception, ofcourse.. ;) ). But for those of you that I still keep in touch with or for those that remember me, I thought I'd let you know I started a blog: / In the near future I'm going to post and analyze a bunch of the big Donkament score hands as there were alot of interesting ones early where I don't look as donkish as I did pushing into 99. Enjoy.

Not to mention the fact that, especially in turbos, the play is mind-numbingly simple with few "tough" decisions that you can multi-table many games. I 9-table fairly easily.

Re(1): Profitable?
Absolutely. The play is so bad at SNGs of $50 and less that its almost difficult to run bad if you know what you are doing. SNGs are my bread and butter when I'm running poorly in cash games..

Re(1): Some BR Management Thinking...
By 4% for 1Tab SNGs you mean like 25 buyins' That's pretty small but if you're willing to move down when necessary it seems reasonable (and is pretty much the guidelines I use as well..) Everything seems reasonable.

Re(1): Thoughts on this hand
It's a great play with big +EV. Your worry is not BBJ, you're only worry is the open-limper slowplaying a big pair. BBJ is not smooth-calling 99+ or AK-AJ. And I don't think he's calling your push with AT. So worst case scenario with BBJ is that he's got a small pair and wants to gamble. But even then, with the extra 500 in dead chips you are getting odds to get in this race. 80% of the time here you are picking T700. 10% of the time you're in a race. The other 10% of the time you're up against AA/KK/QQ from EP limper and you nail your A or 399 flop. Easy push. Tough break.

Online WSOP Sats..
I'm planning on going to Vegas to play some events, but I'm really not all that interested in playing the ME. I'd much rather play in 4-5 smaller events, and was wondering if: 1) do any sites have sats for smaller WSOP events' 2) do any sites allow you to transfer a ME entry into other event entries' 3) could you change the entry to other tourneys when you're actually at the WSOP'

Re(4): 10/20 NL Nightly Average
I've never been so happy to be wrong! I was thinking of NL, and I have read that 4-5BB/100 is a good rate, but I'll gladly accept that its an underestimate.

Re(1): 10/20 NL Nightly Average
3-4xBB/100 is a very good winrate at 10/20, for the "great players". For a "good" player, 2xBB/100 is probably more reasonable. If you're talking short-handed, you're looking at roughly 100 hands per hour, and thus a rate of 2xBB/hour, per table. So 4-tabling, you got 2x20x4 = $160 per hour. Play 6 hours a night for roughly $1000 a night. Now this is a "good" player, ie. a "winning" player but not necessarily one of the best at the tables.

Re(1): H@££INGGOL
BB/100 winrates are very common. The only difference between the stat for limit and NL is that you generally need a larger sample size for NL than for limit, to get an accurate winrate. I've been told BB/100 rates still vary from one set of 100,000 hands to another, and that 1,000,000 is an ideal number of hands to get a real winrate. 11xBB/100 is pretty much unheard of in the long run. Hall is a great player, and I would venture a guess somewhere around 3-4xBB/100. The estimate of 20,000 hands is probably pretty accurate. So we're looking at a range of $12,000-$16,000 per week. Or roughly ...

Re(1): Paradise 150k, WORST LAYDOWN OF MY LIFE
I think its a pretty solid laydown. His range has got to be AA/KK, slight possibility of AK/QQ. It is valid to say that not all players make this play here with AK, but maybe half do. What it really comes down to is whether or not you believe this player would make this play with QQ, and what the odds are of him doing so. If you input KK vs. AA/KK/AKs (leave out AKo to account for that the fact that the player will play AK this way *maybe* half the time), you are at 32% equity. Pretty ugly. Now if you add QQ to his range you are at 52%. So it's reasonable to say you are somewhere between ...

Re(1): Party 500k guaranteed
I was CL with 800 left. Got KK all-in vs. 66 on the flop, 6 turn. Regrouped, lost a couple races and rivered once, but stealing so much to stay above average. "ReMMy" gets to our table. I raise AK to 2400 (4/800 blinds) from MP, he pushes from the button for 15k, has me covered, I call. He's got A7, spikes a 7, I scream really loud, I go play guitar, and eventually my heart returns to a stable condition..

Re(1): Allow me to introduce myself
Take advantage of the fact that *most* players fold too much. Don't be afraid to make plays. The button keeps stealing your blind' And you're card dead' Re-raise him all-in regardless of your cards. He's folding most of the time and when he does call you're probably only 40/60. You can't do it every time but you need to pick your spots. Call any pre-flop all-in if you are getting 2:1 odds or better if you are closing the action, with some minor exceptions. If you've had success playing with the Party SNG structure I'm sure you are already aware of the fact that quite often your cards don't ...

Calling all cash game experts...
This is in regards to laying down KK preflop, something I don't want to get in the habit of doing but I did it today and it's been bothering me. This isn't a brag post saying "I laid down KK preflop, I'm so good" because he didn't show his hand, and I'm just looking for some criticism and advice. I'm mostly a tourney/SNG/limit HE player but want to start playing more NL cash games. Sat down today at some $2/$4 on Party just to get my feet wet. Doing well 4-tabling, when I'm dealt KK UTG+1. UTG limps, I raise 5xBB to $20. Folds around to SB who calls, and then UTG raises to $70. I don't have ...

It's fantastic pot odds. I think you are thinking of implied odds. With two players all-in and him making the initial raise, he's probably gettng something like 3:1 or better, ie. great pot odds.

You can believe that if you want. But as you accept this belief, the winning players will keep winning, and you will keep wondering why they always "get so lucky". The difference is that when a donk makes this play, he doesn't understand what he's doing, even if it is the right play. But all the other times he makes similar plays that are NOT the right play, are why he's a donk.
