Re(1): My Statement I think I'll pay three buy-ins at this years WSOP and just run around to each table. And if I get moved to a table where I'm already at, I'll just pick up my phone and make a few calls. I think that should negate any unethical advantage. That's my plan. I think this is pathetic. And the fact that you try and make some justifications for you actions is laughable. I have no sympathy for you in regard to Party's actions and, in fact, I'm very impressed with Party. PokerStars too, if Lee Jones confiscated your funds as I understand. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): College? Finish school. Doesn't matter what you get your degree in. Unless of course it's specialized, i.e. pre-med, engineering, etc. Find a way to have fun and enjoy it. So many people miss the real value of the college experience. It's not just going to classes and learning literature, history or math. It's about experiences and learning in general. School's greatest virtue is that it teaches you how to learn and follow thru. A degree definitely doesn't guarantee success, and I know plenty of successful people who never went to school. But you'll be way better off with it than without it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Why can't I FOLD! Or better yet, why can't he? Well, wish I had some sage advice. But I don't, and I've been there and still battle this today. However, I will say, that the tournaments that I've won, three things invariably happen. 1) I luckily avoid any crippling suckouts (obvious) 2) I will suckout at some point (a subtle point that I usually push to the back of my mind) 3) I will lay down a good(sometimes monster) hand that I suspect is beat, more than once. Now, these are totally trival points. But, think about it. Try laying down KK or AA in a tourney sometime. Maybe pre-flop for no reason. The world doesn't stop spinning, night ... Re(1): Hmm work is so -EV! Well, it's crossed my mind as well. Over the past 4 months, on average, i've been tripling my monthly salary, and my job pays well into 6 figures. But don't be fooled. Be very honest with yourself. I was, and I know I don't have the game. Just a wannabe on a pretty good run. But, someday, when I grow up..... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): To All Those Gidders Bashers Steve- I understand your point, but again, WHO CARES' It's his site. He can put whatever he wants into it, or not. Who's place is it for you or me or anyone else to tell him how to run his site' It's irrelevant why he's charging. Irrelevant, not deceitful, immoral or disingenuous, even. It would be one thing if he charged the first month and then opened it up for free after that. Now that would be something to get pissed over. Not the fact that he changed his mind for whatever reason. Anyway, as many of the other threads state, this topic is getting way overblown. Let's get back to poker. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

To All Those Gidders Bashers This is ridiculous. I can't believe the heat this poor guy is taking for this. Everyone who is bashing gidders for taking the initiative, being enterprising and generally, just helping everyone on this site should shut the F up. Personally, when I first went to the site, I was surprised that it was free. Hell, fn fantastic. Sign me up. Then, when I saw all the content, I knew this wasn't sustainable w/o fees in the future. SO FN WHAT! And if you didn't see it coming, then you're naive. And if you don't want to pay, then don't. But don't come down on him for making an effort. For improving ... Re(1): I NEED (2) 19'INCH SCREENS WITH 1600X1200 RESOLUTION, BUT CANT FIND THEM!!!! Gotta go w/ Dell's 24" widescreen 1920x1200. Just massive screen real estate. 4-tables fit perfectly. I think they are onsale, too. Or, go to and look-up monitors. They'll have a listing of all online stores selling whatever you're looking for. Posted in: Off Topic |

First MTT Win I'm new here (2 weeks), and fairly new to poker (been playing since Februrary) and just wanted to let u all know how impressed i am w/ this site. It's become my new homepage. Thanks to those who make this place go. Well done. Now, onto my win! Last night I won my first MTT on Party! $40+4 NL and won $8,860. I took second in Party's Friday Special back in August for a bigger cash, but I'll tell you what, this is so much more satisfying. And I want to acknowledge p5 as having a part in this. I haven't been playing very long and I have a ton to learn, but just the few adjustments I've made to ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
