Smokers need not apply
I don't feel much for the rights of smokers in terms of job applications. If I were a business owner, I wouldn't want to have to accommodate for smoke breaks or deal with the smell on smokers' clothes. But I will say that I don't believe much in the health insurance aspect of this. I'm a medical underwriter, so I'm one of the people making all these prices for health insurance plans. Most employers can use wellness programs to distribute costs between smokers and non-smokers, overweight people and non-overweight people, etc. I know my buddy works for Pepsi, and he quit smoking three weeks ...

Yes every single one of them is definitely praying for our deaths five times a day. This stuff is nothing new. A small percentage of a population is ridiculous, people respond by hating everyone in their group, cycle continues. It's the same thing that causes them to hate us and then this shit happens.

Ex-Professionals that moved on since BF...
BF was pretty bad, but it came at the perfect time for me. I wasn't really a "professional" but I did make $20 to $30 per hour, so it was definitely my main source of income. BF came not long before I graduated with my bachelor's. I hadn't found a job yet, and was sort of avoiding doing any serious work on starting a career. It's easy to put things off with a career when you have poker, something you know so well and are completely comfortable with. What are you doing with your life (career-wise) and are you happy?
I just started working at an insurance company doing underwriting, and I really like it. Still in the training process, so that might change, but the biggest factor that affects how much I enjoy a job is the people I work with. Right now, I have a ton of helpful/friendly people around me, so I feel great about things. If I worked with a bunch of lazy clowns or angry bosses, I'm sure I would hate my job.

5.50R 15K GTD - AJos sb VS button minraise
It depends on reads. Okay first, if I 3bet AJ preflop, it's to A) take down the pot pre against a good % of his range, B) get value against a lot of hands that will call, and C) induce a 4bet bluff to shove over. My general rule of thumb there would be to pretty much never play top pair in a 3bet pot here so weakly, because if I eventually fold AJ here, I fold like 95% of my range maybe' So I'm crazy exploitable. But in some spots its fine to be exploitable, because players aren't good enough to realize how to exploit you. But leading is gross because you fold out pretty much everything that ...

Headaches from sessions
Does anybody else feel like shit after playing a long session' This is why I can't play MTT's. I just feel like absolute shit after sitting in front of a computer screen for 3+ hours. My eyes feel super strained and my mood is just generally low when I'm playing long sessions. I have a really big monitor (27.5") and I think that might be causing some of it. Any ideas' Smaller monitor, retarded looking computer eyewear, etc'

I absolutely hate leading the flop because he's cbetting his random raises like T9 and 87s, and by leading the flop, you allow him to raise and put you in a gross spot. It's way better to just check and let him cbet his hands with 5% equity or whatever. And if he's any good, he'll realize you're pretty much never leading a king here, so he can almost always raise you off your hand in the chance that he does have rags.

Strange PS Check delivery guy!
weird. today i walked past the DHL guy as i was grabbing some medicine from the convenience store. as i'm inside the store, i get a phone call from DHL. he says "hey, one of my drivers is trying to get you a package but your mail room isn't open... it's probably a book or something. how can we get it to you'" I respond "i'm pretty sure i'm 15 feet from your delivery guy." the delivery guy seemed weirded out that i pretty much just popped out of thin air. anyways, they didn't seem to know what it was.

You contacted FTP right' Both FTP and Stars have been having problems with E-checks. I had to go back to paper checks on Stars. EDIT: They'll probably put the money back in your account, maybe with a 10% bonus if you're lucky. And then you can choose another withdrawal option. They'll definitely do something; it'll just take awhile.

Which is more profitable, cash games or SNGs
It depends. Cash is more complex and there tends to be tougher players. In SnG's you push a ton of small edges. See which one you are more comfortable with.

How does playing online affect your social life?
One of the problems I had with poker this summer was that I would be shut out from people until like 4 or 5 PM. Everyone around me had a job during the daytime, so in the summer, I'd just wake up and grind alone in my house until people started coming home from work. And that kind of drove me crazy, to not have any human interaction for the first 5 or 6 hours of the day. I'm not a really social person, but having a normal job where I could make random comments to the person next to me is something I appreciated way more. Grinding at college is better because I can grind for 3 hours between 11 ...
