Backing Controversy with JYMASTER11 (warning very long)
Just because I don't have a $1 million badge next to my name, I am not allowed to offer an opinion'' How arrogant are you' I stand by my original comment that i think it's irresponsible that so many people are playing without any regards for BR management. I am proud to say that I turned a minimal deposit into a 20K bankroll. It's not much but I play for fun and have a full-time job. Remember the housing bust' For many of these "big name" players....it's only a matter of time before the make-up bust......and it all comes crashing down.

Backing Controversy with JYMASTER11 (warning very long)
hahaha...take a chill pill. you must be DEEP in MU with someone to be that angry. I am just sick of hearing backers come on here and bitch about not getting paid. If you are going to give money to some loser who can't manager their own money, what do you expect'! I will never play on someone else's dime. And I am damn proud to say that.

Backing Controversy with JYMASTER11 (warning very long)
Easy solution here: play with your own money. Anyone ever heard of BR management'! The fact that JYMaster is "flat broke" is pathetic.

Can poker be profitable, after taxes?

Can poker be profitable, after taxes?
Anyways....just the thought of cashing for like 5K in a 1k buy-in and then paying 40% in taxes makes me want to puke. I just don't see how there is any long-term profitability there. #Stickwithcashgames'

Can poker be profitable, after taxes?
I bet about 1% of online poker players paid taxes on their winnings. Let's be realistic.

Can poker be profitable, after taxes?
I am one of the many players on this site who have spent years grinding online cash games and sit and go's....and some MTT's. Have always enjoyed MTT's the most, but just couldn't put in a high volume online because of my work schedule. Anyways....because of Black Friday....have been thinking a lot about 'what's next'' I was looking at traveling to a few higher buy-in live tournaments in the next year (1K+) and did some research on W2-G's. Those are the forms casinos send to the IRS indicating who won how much in their tournaments. It forces you to report the winnings when you do taxes or ...

Did I make the right call? (Big PL Omaha H/L hand)
Just a higher stakes home game. Usually about 10 - 15K on the table. We play 3 rounds: 2/5 PLO8, 10/20 LHE w/ kill, and 10/20 O8 w/ kill.

Did I make the right call? (Big PL Omaha H/L hand)
OK, thanks for the feedback guys. Hard not being results oriented on this one (was a $2,000 pot). But I made the call thinking I had the best low draw and a chance to catch-up and scoop with high hand.

Did I make the right call? (Big PL Omaha H/L hand)
We both ended up having A 5 for the low. I had nut flush draw for high. He held 2 pair on the flop. I still think there's no way I don't get my money all-in here.

Did I make the right call? (Big PL Omaha H/L hand)
This is a PL Omaha H/L hand: Holding Ac5c 2xJx 4 callers pre-flop @ 40/each. Flop: 2c 3c 10d I am first to act and bet $100 into $165 pot. 1 caller behind. 1 fold. Last to act, pots to about $500. I re-raise all in for about $1,000 total. Standard' I guess I thought my only options were to fold or re-pot all-in here. I think flatting on this flop is worst option.

Let's make a Pocketfives "Home Games" freeroll this Friday (3/11) on PStars!
If you redeposit now, you get a free $5.50 'Home Games' tourney ticket. Let's set-up a tournament for P5ers, which essentially turns into a freeroll. I propose this Friday night (3/11) at 9 p.m. ET. Anyone interested' We might as well use this tickets to make a decent sized tourney. And it's free money.
