I'm going to have to agree you probaly arent ready. 99% of people who ask just arent ready. Most pros who were ready didnt have to ask. I highly doubt annette or phil ivey ever asked if it was okay to do what they are great at. If this is something you want to do given your circumstances then I see no reason why you shouldnt do it. Just be warned its not as great as one would think. Obviously if you were playing the highest stakes and already a millionaire there would be no worries. However I am assuming you are going to be barely making it and thats not always the most secure situation ...

Where do you guys in michigan go when you want to play some live high stakes no limit holdem
I live in lower michigan near detroit and wanted to play some high stakes no limit holdem. Whats my best option for getting in some high stakes like whats the highest stakes you guys no near detroit. I am only 19 so was thinking either soaring eagle or windsor. However they dont even have 100/200 nl.

You get 2 of those dell 30 inch mad crazy resolution monitors and play 25 tables on each monitor so thats 50 tables at a time. If you had software that pressed the time button for you on each table then you should have no problem doing it. You can do this with sit n gos or cash. So if you played cash 9 handed and played at 1 pt/bb at 50/1 nl thats 2x 50= 100 bucks an hour. or if you played 33 dollar sngs and got in 50 sngs an hour that would be 90 per 50 sngs put in and i think you could get in 80 sngs an hour. So you would make 144 an hour at the 33 level if you maintain a 5% roi. My ...

to jennifear: i have teh question for you. Whats the biggest downswing buyin wise you ever went on during your career' i just got done going on a 30-40 buyin downswing and i couldnt believe it and i be pwning sngs. Also when you had that 30% roi in 30 sngs was it reg or turbos'

Why am i a loser at 6.50 turbos?
I just tear apart the 33 22 55 dollar turbos but im down 700 bucks in 6.50 turbos like wtf how is it possible that i lose so much in what is suppose to be easier competition' This boggles my mind i just cant figure out why i lose so badly in 6.50 turbos. This just doesnt make any sense to me. I tried a lag style didnt work. Then i tightened up and basically blinded out cause everytime i tried to shove got called by j6 and sucked out on. And its obv not too small of a sample size cause im down 120 buyins in 6 dollar games. Im up 1200 in 24 dollar multi sngs. Please dont tell me to just stick ...

Can anyone be a winner at 300/600 nl?
My friend is a winner at 1/2 nl making all kinds of sick cash. Hes a supernova and 24 tabling. However he says because of lack of talent or ability hes not gonna be able to get any higher than 5/10. I totally disagree. I see no reason why anyone with average brain functioning will be able to go as far as they want in this game. However I could be wrong so anyone with any knowledge of this specifically from those at the higher levels please respond and let me know if you think most people if they put in the right work can make 300/600 nl and be a winner.

Do the 300 chip ft sngs=more cash than regular turbos?
I know nothing about the 300 chip sngs however i was interested if people are finding they win more money in these than regular turbos.

if youre playing turbos then yeah you could expect huge downswings..if regs then im not sure how you are losing. Turbos though expect huge swings. Like swings you never dreamed of they will happen. For good or bad. I went on a 40 buyin downswing and just couldnt believe it but it can happen to the best. So dont worry you arent the only one. I might switch to cash or switch to reg sngs. When losing horribly just switch the game you play and keep chugging along.
