Re(3): what a grind!! first of all rounders is a GREAT movie for what it is. And this guy is looking for a life/bankroll plan for poker. That was what the qoute was in reference to, not playing. I didn't mention anything about any poker playing stategy and come to think of it "Rounders' doesn't either. But yes it would seem that anybody that watches the movie or seen how bad moneymaker played in the WSOP (his only real cashout) thinks they can play poker...i agree with you there. Re(1): Whats he got? beleive it or not some people think the gut shot str8 draw is a hand worth calling. Then he paired and hoped for that miracle 7 or 8 on the riv. Not knowing the 8 would crush him. But the nine would have killed you, but it would have made this donkey's day...made it enough that he'll draw that str8 again until he loses all his money and then quits poker Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): Hand Advice - Pocket 10's yeah you played it good. The problem is the dollar value of the game. You're down to three players so you are all in the money. Sometimes i play SNG right before i need to be somewhere so if i'm not pushing for 1st i might make a loose call like this to either bust out or secure a second. In any real tournament where you are down to the FT and there is big money involved your hand and play would have held up. 10$ SNG' ANything is possible Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Somebody tell me this isnt rigged I threw up in my mouth a little bit when I read that. Not seeing that in person would make me suspicious but shake it off and never play quad kings again. Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re(1): I just need to vent... a little. those are ugly next time though if you post three hands have the courtesy to copy and paste them into a word doc and edit the stuff out that we really don't need to read. It only takes a few extra minutes. Cut to the Chase...you know what i'm saying Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re(2): do you think you might be playing below your skill level? I look at it like this. Look how Hellmuth plays when he is in the Main Event. And what happens...he gets pissed and busts out. You have to play the table NOT THE GAME!! The table is different every time. You play a table of pros you play textbook poker....you play a table of newbees and plan on getting a lot of suck outs. Might as well toss a coin in a $5 sng. BUT if you want to stay within that money, post and fold tell there are 1/2 the players gone. You get out the hotheads and usually there are more quality players left. Your chips are at a disadvantage but if you like going all in with ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
