Need to learn Razz in 3 days while working 3 doubles, talk to me.
Don't play razz much but the players I play in the horse tournies on Tilt are terrible- here's a few tips I guess. Starting hand strength is really important- 632 low starting hand is alot better than 654. But anything 6 high is worth playing. 7 and 2 really low cards are worth playing too obv it matters what other people's door card is. Note that people's paired cards make your hand more a bit stronger. Don't be tempted to defend a bring in even though you might start off with say a3k, still muck it. I thought I would be ahead of his range here, I really lost focus of how many players there were. If I knew how many players were left i'm sure i wouldve folded here. ^^ Don't fold, don't try to squeak your way to 8th place. I'm shoving like more thanhalf of all hands here. Question about Mid-Late MTT strategy as chip leader
you pretty much have the right idea. People aren't afraid to bust out if they think they have the best hand, there's no fear of losing in micro-mid stake mtts so your best bet is that while you want to remain aggressive, pick your spots well and be patient. People don't fear a big stack at all and will happily reshove you if they think you are light or if they have a decent hand.

Negative Side Effect of Working and Grinding
doesn't matter how late i go to sleep i still sleep for 9-10 hours nowadays that means sleep at 5 am and wake up at 3. I never fall asleep unless I want to but when I'm sleeping I don't wake up again

look at it this way, things can only get better!, but I'd like their rep to at least mention if they've been trying to increase stability of their servers and reliability of support. every sunday is a nightmare for now, or just stop the damn big little crap don't have to stop it but figure out how many people the server can handle in one tourney and cap the player pool

people who keep saying op 'bitchin about owing money and looking for a handout' are completely missing the point here. OP does not want to constantly worry about FTP taking the $$ at a random time when he may need it or op doesn't want to be hit with an overdraft honestly does it take a genius to figure out what is wrong with a company that says hey buy our product but WE get to decide when we want to take it out of your bank account.

I think the type of tourney matters a lot too is there like thousands of players in the thing where this guy is more likely to just gamble with any decent hand and try to double up or bust cus this is prob a tourney that is lower than his usual stakes.

ya if he's as tight as you think he is, he'll have a range of exactly qq-aa and ak is a 'maybe' but prob not since a nit will flat ak to a 3-bet. I do like the original preflop 3-bet though obv his opening range is a shit ton wider and theres a few flatters that you can get a lot of $$$ from.

Does anyone think playing this game will ever lead to long term health problems?
I'm sitting here at 4 am and right now I'm sad. It's probably not poker related but it got me thinking I was really debating whether or not to go through with this post as I wasn't sure what the general reaction to this thread would be but I was just thinking that so many of poker players start playing from their late teens onward where most of us aren't used to the amount of stress and frustration that you go through trying to grind this game seriously.
