Re:Rock Table in a low-level MTT
Well no luck I suppose...got into bubble play and my QQ in the BB ran into KK on the button...managed to come back only to lose QQ to A9 on a flopped and turned 9. C'est la poker.

Re:Rock Table in a low-level MTT
To a degree, but with the seemingly random calls and limp/calling I don't know if it's the smartest play here. I'm not a MTT player that often so when I get deep in my strategy and lines of thinking are a little shaky.

Rock Table in a low-level MTT
I'm sitting in a $3+.30 MTT 1R1A about 2.5 hours in, sitting on 50bb or so. I've been at this same table for about an hour and a half. A lot of the players here seem to be very...either tight passive or loose passive. Lot of limped pots seeing the flop, but a lot of standard raises also seeing some pretty loose calls from the blinds and out of position. I haven't had a chance to three-bet light just out of lack of cards for the most part. Also a lot of 3x raising followed by a similar 3-4x bb cont. bet. What's the best route to take here' Is it worth the steal attempts and ...

Re:PokerStars Cashouts
Eh I just have a thing with checks too. I still write my own for all bills instead of paying online. I guess it's the tangible thing' I dunno. Plus, Price is Right wouldn't have a Check Game anymore if the art was lost =P As for sick brag about never depositing, I did a trade of $50 FTP for $50 PS via a forum I'm on so I never made a deposit on PS, just on FTP (several, painful times)

Re:PokerStars Cashouts
I've never made a deposit on Stars actually so I don't think I have the e-check option available (I traded money via transfer to get my br there). I ended up going with the check, probably riskier, but I'd rather not give them all my account info, plus I like physical tangible money transactions (shockhorror)

PokerStars Cashouts
As a follow up to my last thread, I played my Step 6 ticket and finished 3rd for the $2825. Since I have bills and loans to pay, I'm looking to cash out most of it (probably like $2500). Stars is offering me the wire transfer or check options. I know the wire is faster but there's an associated fee. Does anyone know how much this is' Also, how does it process' Is it direct to my bank account or is it Western Union-tastic' Thanks for the help! (In before "sick brag." It's my first 4 digit score, leave me be =P)

Stars EPT Step 6
Hi everyone. I don't play on Poker Stars that much, but I decided that I wanted to take a shot at grinding out some of the steps to possibly get to London next week. I've never made it past step 3 before, so imagine my surprise when I pulled off a (personal) miracle in them and find myself with a Step 6 ticket. Having never been there before, does anyone have any advice on how to play it' From steps 3-5, and especially when it became non-turbo at step 4, everyone at the table has appeared to be incredibly patient, carefully picking their spots and playing a little scared. I'm ...

Live Tournament Ruling Question
I was down in Atlantic City this past weekend playing a $58+12 turbo bounty tournament at Harrah's. We were in the third level when the following took place... On a board of xKJQx, the player to my immediate right (older guy) pushed all in, and I picked up a feeling he didn't have anything and I called, showing AQh. He thought about the board, looked at his cards, including flashing them completely face up, before turning them face down and throwing them into the table, over the line. The dealer, at this point, proceeds to start pushing me the pot and I start sweeping it towards my ...

Re:July 8th FTP Update
It's a large update and they're having problems rolling it out to everyone at the same time on their update server. Give it a few minutes and try again. Took me 2 tries to get it downloaded.

Re:July 8th FTP Update
I know everyone likes their HUDs, PT, table mods, and everything else, but this table and hand history stuff has been in beta for several months. The third party developers who created this stuff for FTP knew that the software backend was changing, and they didn't (or haven't yet) rolled out updates of their own to keep their stuff running. Don't blame FTP for making their software better from a technical end because it breaks your third party apps. Full Tilt doesn't support them and they don't need to. Hence why they're THIRD PARTY. I don't see any outrage here ...

Re:Question...I have never seen this..
I think it also depends on the site rules. FTP will allow a player who is dead and all in to still have their hand played out. Stars is a little less forgiving about that.

Re:Home game & casino ruling
The general rule as far as I've always known it is that once the pot is pushed to the "winner" and the cards flipped face down, it's over and you can't go back on the results. That said, guy who was wrongly awarded the pot should have been a nice guy and given the better hand the win, especially if the amount in was known. It's good for your karma =P

You would anyway cause they're free "rebuys". You get two extra sets of starting chip stacks whenever you want to take them in the first hour for free.

Re:MM Bubble: Shove Pre?
PiKap: It's been loosish... BB's been a huge fish looking to stack off and make huge plays with junk hands. UTG hasn't been abusing the bubble but he's been calling a little light with A6+, especially on the short stacks. And I agree, I wasn't out to "bubble in and sleep" when I joined the tournament, I was playing for the win. I had done fairly well early, getting my stack up to just under 10k before the first break, only to come back and lose a large hunk of it on the first hand afterwards. I pretty much went card dead until we hit the bubble and my interest ...

I shouldn't say I just wanted to cash and go to bed. My line of thinking was more like... "If I can dodge the ace and double through, I'll be happy and keep going at it. If not, I'd rather just get away from it, grab my $2 and go sleep"

The format my company (bar free poker) uses is laid out to run between 3 and 4 hours. Starting stack of 200: 5 $1 3 $5 3 $10 2 $25 1 $100 And then blinds go... 1/2 (20 minutes) 2/4 (20) 3/6 (20) 5/10 (20, color $1) 10/20 (15 minutes) 15/30 (15) 25/50 (15, color $5s and $10s) 50/100 (15) 75/150 (15, Optional. We usually don't do it with 40 people but if you're looking to extend it a bit you can) 100/200 (15) 150/300 (15) 200/400 (15, color $25s) 300/600 (15) 400/800 (15) 500/1000 (15, color $100s if you have $500 chips) That should pretty much take care of it ...

Re:FTP rakebackpros FINE PRINT
Speaking of RBP, since I got the offer from them earlier this week, does anyone know how much you need to build up in rake before they release it to your account' I assume the standard $50 but their site is poorly laid out so it's hard to find an answer on that.

I made a check withdraw on 12/30 (because it said the eCheck was currently out of order) and it got here in 7 days. So something tells me it's a bank issue and not a holiday rush issue.
