Re:The LSAT dilemma Aside from reviewing typical exam questions from prior years (which can most likely be found online) to get a better feeling of what you are to expect, the LSAT is not really the type of exam you need/can study for. It tests your reading comprehension and reasoning skills. Either you are good at this or you are not. if you feel comfortable that you possess these skills, it seems to me that the only impediment to getting a good score is your confidence and state of mind. Man up, be confident and ace it. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:islam is a religion of peace honestly these replies make me laugh, lots of hypocrites, there are tons of threads created in OT espousing the notion that all religions are bad and are the cause of war, genocide, etc...the SECOND that i mentioned something about islam though, out comes all the politically correct B.S. ok so lets look past 9/11, "martyrs" blowing up kids at markets, videotaped beheadings, etc...i mean i dont want to generalize (lol)...can someone here tell me what the koran teaches should be done to non-muslims' i think some here would be surprised ok, so islam really is a religion of peace, so ... Re:Holy crap. Bill O'Reilly comes out in favor of the public option?!? i had to read this ten times, the whole time incredulous as to what you believe. i think you are grasping at anything to support this idea of a public option while not knowing what it means for the federal government to compete with the private sector there is no way to compete with the federal government, i think you know this but for some reason want to pretend that they will be just like any other company please name one instance where the government is "breaking even" in ANYTHING they do.......and for that matter, name one government program that hasnt gone bankrupt Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Holy crap. Bill O'Reilly comes out in favor of the public option?!? so when a private company suffers losses and fails to make a profit, they go bankrupt when the government runs any program, like for example a public option medical insurance policy, and they suffer losses and failt to turn a profit, they______________ fill in the blank Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Holy crap. Bill O'Reilly comes out in favor of the public option?!? wait, so the government doesnt underpay, deficit spend, tax and print money to fund social security, medicad/medicare, or anything else they are in control for that matter'' come on, please think about the question and give a real answer.....surely you know this is a huge sticking point for people who oppose a public option. I dont think you can find anyone even on your side who agrees with your response. FYI, I dont thnk you know what "strawman" means... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Holy crap. Bill O'Reilly comes out in favor of the public option?!? no offense underdog, i troll the political threads on this board occasionally, and I find you to be as ignorant as they come. please answer the following question for me, just want to get a better understanding of how your head works how do private insurance companies compete with an entity who has the ability to pay significantly under value for medical services then deficit-spend, print money and tax the public to make up the losses' Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Would we have the U.S. Constitution we have.. Imagine living in a dictatorship, I dont know, lets say Saddam Hussein-era Iraq....just an example. The dictator has sole power over every aspect of the public's life. The dictator's likeness is posted everywhere in public, a constant remider of who is really in charge. Those who speak out for the simplest of freedoms are snuffed out, sometimes killed in public or just taken to prison for life without any legal recourse. There are secret police spread out through the general public that will notify authorities of even the muttering of dissent, punishable by death or life imprisonment. ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:The other side of the other side of the war on drugs... Translation: You resent people who have money or God forbid a successful career, and out of a need to feel better about yourself you make exaggerated claims about the people who happen to work in a system that is forced to deal with your "boys" who are, ironically, drug dealers. Another live play question I have often thought about this when playing live (especially deep if larger denomination chips are hidden or players have dirty stacks) When contemplating calling someone's push and you ask for a chip count, what happens if: 1. player who pushes, mistakenly or purposely, gives you a lower count than he really has-if you call, is he held to the number he gave you 2. same question, but the dealer gives you the wrong chip count Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:For Those Who Constantly Criticize The New Administration Generally, when discussing or debating an issue, you will be taken more seriosuly if you refrain from childish rants like "GTFO" or "STFU YOU LYING HYPOCRITES!" Re:For Those Who Constantly Criticize The New Administration meh, i think the GTFO part was a little out of line but whatever. A "just society" is such a loaded term and scares the hell of me. I dont know what you consider "just". You earn the money you make through hard work, no matter how much it is. No one should be made to feel guilty about working and earning. Posted in: Off Topic |
