Re:You would think the man would want internet poker to be legal as hell... Actually, some states may have made marijuana legal for medical reasons, under federal law it is illegal for all purposes. Federal law trumps state so in actuallity marijuana is illegal everywhere in the USA Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Poker book I finished reading Collin Moshman's "Sit N Go Strategy" book and now I want to read another poker book. I'm looking for a book intended just for internet poker. I almost exclusively play SNG's and I enjoy playing them. Could someone recommend another internet poker book that I should read' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:whats the news with big names going broke? I don't know anything about Pardog, but many pros could easily be broke. I'm not going to say there are a ton of them, but it could easily happen to a pro. Big wins=big spending. They spend money like it's water for a while and then have a big losing streak. It isn't that much of a reach that they could be broke. Maybe they even borrow some money from someone and lose that. How many people wouldn't borrow a pro a couple thousand dollars if they told you they would pay you back double in a week' And how much do you really think they get from sponsoring Full Tilt or ... Re:banned from pokerstars for unknowingly playing on a banned ip address Because people want to be able to play without waiting for their e-checks to clear. And my credit card won't work for Stars. I'm sure the amount that Stars gets screwed on by people paying with bad checks is a lot less than the business they would lose by people having to wait a week for their checks to clear. Hand analysis software I'd like to get some kind of software to analyze my hands but I have no idea what to get. I'm not talking about something that I use while playing, but something I can put my hand histories in to give me an idea of what I am screwing up on (which seems to be everything lately). Folding on bubble I was playing in a 9 man SNG and I was second in chips with 4 people left. The chip leader had been a huge bully and was pushing with anything. He had about 5500 chips and I had 4000. The 2 short stacks were sitting at about 2000 each. I was in the BB and he was in the SB. I got AQ and the chip leader pushed all in. I called him and he had A3. He caught his 3 and sucked out on me. Then he said that I shouldn't have called him. So let's assume I probably could have folded my way into 3rd place and cashed. Should I really have folded, or did I make a good call' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Playing against a multi-tabler I always see posts about the best way to multi-table, but I've never seen one about the best way to play against a multi-tabler. I know, I'm a loser that only plays one table at a time. But anyhow, what is the best way to outplay a guy playing 8-20 games at once' I definitely get more liberal calling all-ins later on, but I'm sure there are lots of other strategies I could use. Should I be going all-in with big hands, or limping in trying to get the other guy to call' Should I make huge raises with big hands, or value bet everything' Any other help would be great too. Re:click tells I've noticed that when people are chasing a flush or a straight it seems like they will call a bet instantly. Nobody with a monster hand makes an instant call unless it is an all-in call. Everyone does the old, "I'll make him think that I'm debating the call." Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Best Books for Learning whilst SNG grinding I read a book called "Sit 'n Go Strategy" by Collin Moshman. I thought it was a really good book for sit 'n go's. I'm not going to say it was anything new, but reading it helped me stick to a particular strategy. It's kind of the whole "tight-aggressive" thing, but I guess reading it in a book made me a much better poker player. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

What should I do next? I've been playing poker for a few years now. I started out on $6.50 single table turbos on Pokerstars. I slowly lost money but recently I "figured it out" and now I'm actually winning money. I've moved up to $16 sitngo's and I'm doing very well. At least I think it's pretty good. Last I checked I was at about 27% ROI on those. I only play one game at a time. But I'm wondering what I should do next. Should I stick with the same thing for a while' Should I move up to the next level and see how I do' I've never really played more than 9 man sitngo's, ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
