Final table Question - what should your mindset be? That hand is standard as they come. The key is chipping up around the FT bubble so you're not so short-stacked. Keep at it. Variance will work itself out if you are playing well. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Need Advice on a hand from ISPC Hand from Event 1 of the ISPC, $350 buyin. This is a few levels after the dinner break. Villian has only been at the table a few orbits but has shown down 88 and AK to bust two shorties AIP. Blinds are 600/1200/100. My stack is $75k Villian is sitting on $120k. I am in middle position and open with JJ to $2700. Villain raises to $6800. I call and the flop comes down Q J 7 rainbow. I check. Villian leads for $12k. I call. Turn is 10. I check Villian leads for $21k. What do you do and why' Posted in: Live Poker |

Hand From WCOOP-21 Yes I played this horrible and that's why I was asking for help. When the hand becomes a 4-way pot it definitely made me a little nervous and I slowed down too much. I agree I should've bet significantly more on flop. With his river bet out of the BB I guess I'm mainly putting him on 2 pair combos with a few sets a few single pairs...i really wasn't sure what to do and figured with the structure I could find a better spot. WSOP BRAG!! Event 8 Not exactly the case. The whole tournament has been a tough grind for me. I've only been all-in pre for my tournament once in two days so...I like to think I've actually played well. I know right' I told the guys at poker news to fix it, but it wasn't updated on some of the other sites. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Articles for Transitioning to Live Play Does anyone know of any good articles/books/resources for good hints on transitioning your game from online to live' Im not looking for rules explanations like the 1 chip rule, or string betting etc...More looking for something on how to deal with all the limping and various other aspects of the game that are going to be different. Thanks! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:WSOP/Venetain's summer tournys and bankroll questions You should always stick to proper bankroll management, but in my case thats out of the question. When I go out there, I have a designated amount I plan to spend by picking out 5-10 tournies. If I do well, I add more to the list, if I go busto, that's fine because I had planned to risk that specified amount prior to planning the trip. Hopefully one day I will be baller enough to be properly rolled for those events. Good Luck! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Starting BR for $3.30 90 Man KOs on FTP Very good info. I agree the play is aweful in the $3.30s, $6.50s, and the $13s. 100 buyins will be very safe and is a good general rule of thumb. See Jennifears BR management thread as this has great information for when you decide to branch out to other games. When multitabling, it's usually good to try to add a few tables at a time until your comfortable. I have found from personal experience that adding two at a time when moving up works pretty well. Eventually you will get enough of these under your belt that your decisions will become instinct. You will not have to think very hard ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
