Re(1): All in or Fold Methodology for MTTs Whether or not you push or fold is not based on just the cards you hold. The situation has to fit a certain mathematical criteria, and certain ranges of hands are placed in these mathematical ranges. The book is Tournament Poker for Advanced Players. Great read. This system is basically for new players who dont have much experience with the game. However, this might be profitable in Sit and Gos once you are able to do the math quickly. Re(1): The concept of a "poker school" I really love how people always call people donkeys, when in fact they are most likely looked upon as donkeys by better players than themselves. I believe the poker school's concepts are to help those who want to become better, better. Donks dont seek education. There will always be plenty of donks. Its for us people who want to be the best we can. Anyone aspiring to be a better player is not a donk. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): WHICH IS MORE PROFITABLE 6 or 10 seat limit cash/ring games The biggest reason I like shorthanded games better is because.. 1) Easier to recall past actions made by players 2) I am LAG at heart 3) Easier to notice tells 4) Alot of people at the lower limits do not know how to adjust to 6-max, and therefore are easy money 5) I DO make more money at 6-max than full ring 6) I find it much easier to outplay 5 other players rather than 9 7) Basically all this shows that I am extremely lazy... Anyways, 6 max can be very very profitable, but the swings are also going to be a bit larger. Really pay attention to table selection. If youre not liking the table ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): 6 max or 9 max ring tables? 6 max is far more profitable. And like you said, there will be much larger swings. It takes some getting used to the 6 max tables, but in time, it can be extremely profitable. I suggest checking ou the 2+2 forums under shorthanded and heads up for help as far as hand selection and such Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Swapping screenames and such? I was just thinking, I have a few guys on my buddy list I talk poker with, but not enough. Why doesnt everyone interested in talking poker, post the limits and types of poker they play, along with your screename. That way you can find someone in the same situation as yourself and talk strategy and such. Just a thought and suggestion. My name is Pat I play on party primarily(taking a break till after x-mas break due to finals, and family time) I am mostly a SnG player at the 10$ level(working on building my bankroll) I play cash games and mtts every one in awhile I am primarily a hold'em ... Re(3): Should I report this offensive comment? mayhem, where are you from' I am from innercity cleveland, and currently live in cincinnati. I also lived in trenton NJ for 10 years of my life. If you have grown up in bad neighborhoods like I have, then youll surely understand me. I am not saying they are all trash, but honestly, most of them are. Look up some statistics. If I am not mistaken, its 3 out of 5 african americans go to jail at one point in their life. That is pretty overwhelming. But I suppose you might say its because the white people are oppressing them' Right, and my african american roomate got 15,000 off his tuition ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Should I report this offensive comment? nah, dont report it, they call themselves that all the time. I dont think it should be considered a bad word anymore, its part of the ebonics vocabulary. You here that word more in music than anything else. Why would you be offended by that' I personally think ratting people out for berating you is stupid. Sure, it is not the greatest manners, but who cares' They already look like an ass. If it was something like "jew" or something, and you are jewish, I would report it. If you do happen to be african american, then you had better not report it, seeing as I do not know a single african ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

snugglez88 dominating the party 109 and 30$ rebuy The kid is a beast, currently sitting around top5 in chips in both, with about 30 left in the 109, and 50 left in the rebuy. Go rail the kid. Re(1): Taking it too far Not taking a shot at jewish people at all, but every single jewish kid I knew growing up was extremely wealthy, and tended to throw his (fathers) money around nonchalantly. That seems like this kid threw his 100 around like it was meaningless, making a terrible call like that. However, I highly doubt that is what this guy was thinking. Just some observations and correlations I made when reading this. Anyways, we all know jews are the easiest scapegoats :( Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Pokertracker...worth it? I dont see how it is cheating' It is simply a detailed note taking program. I have never heard of any sites banning PT. If they did, how could they detect it. Also, I would say 95% of winning cash game players use it. Hell, I know a ton of people who use it for SnG and Mtt stats. It is very useful, and well worth the money. It makes decision making much easier. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): What do you do? I believe you should bet the flop. You raised pf showing some strength. I am almost positive you are beat. However, this is 5/10 limit, so you arent playing complete idiots. Stay ahead in this, bet. I would keep applying pressure, and you might get them to lay it down. However, this is all situational. You need to check your pokertracker stats. If you dont have pokertracker, you should not be playing 5/10 limit. Pokertracker will answer your question for you. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
