I was thinking along the same lines. Currently, I use 40-45 for online cash games (FR) so maybe 30-35 would be sufficient for live games. I would really love to hear other people's thoughts on this.

Live Cash Game vs. Online Cash Game
What say you in regards to buyin amounts. This is for someone doing this primarily as a main income. If you play online with 40-45 buyins would the same apply to online considering that play is a lot lot worse live than it is online. Just wanted to get some thoughts if you could. Thanks.

And this is why I stick to low stakes online games and play higher cash games live. Too much shady shit goes on online from midstakes (50R+) to high stakes. Btw, I hope all mutil-accounters get cancer and die and a tortured horrible death, thank you.

The casino I usually play at is niagara fallsview and level of play there is absolutely horrid. I can't play 1/2NL (for this I would have to travel to another casino and I'm down on 1/2nl live cause I play like a fish at this stake). They have a 2/5nl table with a buy-in of max $300 but the players there are so nitty it's more profitable to buyin on a 5/5nl for $300 and be shortstacked rather than buying in for max at 2/5nl cause of all the nits around.

Live Cash Game Bankroll
I'm currently at university at this time and will be playing poker full-time when during the summer break which begins from End of April till September. Last summer I did this playing online only and made some decent money. This time, I want to play online on Mondays-Thursdays, Sunday and go to the casino on Fridays and Saturdays playing $5/5 NL. The max buyin for this is $500. How much of a bankroll should I have for this stake considering I will be going only two days a week. Possibilities for getting a straight flush in 7 card poker? NEED HELP PLEASE!
I have to count all the possibilities for getting a straight flush in 7 card poker. I have done this BUT the problem is I have 2 methods which should work, one does, and one doesn't. The one that works is 4*C(47,2) +36*C(46,2)=41584 The other method involves breaking it up into cases: i.e. 5 cards straight, 6 card straight, then 7 card straight and added up all those cases. Anyone have any ideas how to get the 2nd method to work' I would appreciate any help on this, thank you.

I checked my firewall programs and pokerstars is accepted but for some reason won't connect to server. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it but the same problem is still coming up.

HU Cash Game Bank Roll
I'm thinking about playing 0.5/1 and 1/2 HU cash games. Any suggestions on the amount of buyins I should have before trying this. I'm a conservative person. Right now when I play 6-handed and 9-handed cash games I leave myself about 45 buyins when multi-tabling cash games. How much you reckon I should have in order to play 0.5/1 and 1/2 HU cash games'
