Re(2): Poker quiz (problem, food for thought, discussion promoter, etc) I'd prefer Jack-3 offsuit myself. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Poker drying up i hope it dries up and isn't as trendy as it is now. They play poker on Desperate Housewives for crying out loud! I like the competition as I'm sure many others do and welcome it. If all of the fish leave it would probably make for better games.Poker got trendy when it first went on television with the WSOp, then it dried up and came back. It's just like skateboarding. It comes and goes in cycles, but I for one am not going anywhere. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(6): New WSOP, new problems? I think what they need to do to limit the watering down of the WSOP is to increase the buy-in to $25,000. That would eliminate at least half to 2/3rds of the field. Why does the most prestigious of all poker tournaments have the same buy-in as every other WPT event (except for the WPT championship of course)' Anyone else agree or disagree' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Recommended books Along with JD's selections I'd recommend The Theory of Poker by David Sklansky. If you play cash games it's a good fundamental guide to help take your game to the next level. However, for tournaments there is no book that can replace Harrington's. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
