Re(1): loosing wireless conection during play(its the microwave) I have a wireless on my desktop computer and have the same problem of losing connection then coming back on. I only play on Full Tilt and some other people said they were going through the same thing. So it could be the site. I find it hard to believe that the microwave would be the problem. I have one. As a matter of fact, the microwave is running as I type this message. No connection problems. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Bankroll Question You guys are making this more confusing than I already am. Got 1 guy saying its this way and another saying its this way. So which is it' The reason I am asking is because originally I was under the impression that you can buy into any tournament or cash game within 5% of your roll everytime you play. Based on that theory I have lost about 100 bucks in 2 days. Of course I could just be on the down side of variance right now. But its still a big chunk of my roll. The guide line I had been using was 45x the buyin for sit n gos and 100x the buyin for MTTs. But I liked the Chris' guideline ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Bankroll Question A few days ago, I got an email from Full Tilt for the latest tip from Pors. This one is from Chris Ferguson. Basically he talks about how he is going from starting with zero money to 10,000. He lists a few rules on managing your roll. One he suggests is that you stick to cash games and sit n gos that are 5% of your total bankroll. Tournaments should be no more than 2% of your total bankroll. But then later on in the article, I think he contradicts himself a little by saying dont play in games that are at the top of your bankroll limits. So which is it' When he says 5% and 2%, does he mean ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): epassporte questions for those who have successfully withdrawn funds using it in the past I have epassporte, but Full Tilt wont let me withdraw my funds to epassporte because I made my deposit with Firepay. They claim my only solution is to make a deposit usig epassporte and then I will be able to withdraw. Thats bullshit. I shouldnt have to do that. Its just one of their ways to keep my money on their site. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(7): FULL TILT SCREWED ME BAD ---- PLEASE READ I have epassporte. I also play on Full Tilt. I initially made a deposit to Full Tilt using Firepay before they shut the door on us. I wanted to withdraw some funds out of Full Tilt. But they are telling me that I have to deposit funds using epassporte before I can withdraw. I think thats bullshit. On top of that I cant seem to remember my password for my epassporte account and they wont help me sort it out. I dont have a phone so I cant call them. Which is what they want me to do. Fucking bastards! i am only with Full Tilt because I have rakeback with them. Otherwise they can kiss my ass. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(11): Question about live poker... Darbong, Thanks for your response. I just want to play. I played one time at the Hardrock Casino in Tampa and absolutely loved it. I didnt leave a winner but I had a great time while there. The stakes at that time were .25/.50. I was thinking about trying some live stud games. But the antes at the horse track is .50. Thats expensive. The ante at the 1/2 table on pokerstars is only .10. The problem I have with tournaments is invest 40 or 50 bucks and only getting paid 1st 2nd or 3rd. I am not crazy about the idea of a sng only paying 1st and 2nd. Whereas in a sng online you can be paid in the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Question about live poker... I am not looking to play there every day. My parents go there occasionally to bet on the horses. I just thought I would go there to play while they do their thing. Unless I had a winning session that day, I would only be able to play maybe once or twice a month. I just wondered what the betting means and how much would be recommended to sit down with. I would most likely play stud or stud hi lo. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Question about live poker... I was thinking about going to the horse track down in Tampa. They offer poker games there. They have all the games that Ultimate Bet offers. According to their website, the betting structure is such that there is 2 dollar straight betting. If you are playing stud there is a 50 cent ante. They dont tell you what the stakes are. What do they mean by straight betting' Is it where you bet a minimum of 2 dollars on all streets' If thats the case, then that would get pretty damn expensive. What would you recommend starting with as far as buying into a game' Thanks for any and all advice. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Should I have bet post flop? I have tried that too Jay. Dan Harrington has a chart that tells you how much to bet so that you dont give the opponent the proper odds. They STILL call. Nobody gives a shit what you got, they just want to play, win or lose. It really aggravates me. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Should I have bet post flop? I was in a 3 dollar NL tourney on stars last night. I got this hand very early in the tourney. I tried to slow play it to see if anyone would bluff at the pot. I am just wondering if I should have played it differently. How much should I have bet. The guy that beat me claims he would have folded if I bet the pot on the flop. But I have done that before only to be called. So whats the point' The problem I am noticing is that no matter how much I bet, people will still call. What are you suppose to do to combat that' Any suggestions to this hand would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Seat 1: ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
