Re:Vick ruling in (Fixed OP)
I thought if you are a felon you had to play for Dallas or Oakland. I'm pretty sure its an NFL rule.

Re:anyone work as a package handler for DHL?
Had a buddy who loaded/unloaded UPS trucks in college. His biggest complaint was the heat of the trucks in the summertime. They are dark brown, and got up over 115 degrees fairly regularly. Since you are working third shift, that shouldn't be as much of a problem for you. Just be prepared to lift all day, and you'll be fine.

Never met a Dorito I didn't like. Has anyone tried these' If you eat a Hot Wing chip or a Blue Cheese chip on their own, they are meh, but if you eat one of each together, they rock pretty hard.

Re:Bite me Lee Jones
If its not a guide, and instead just common sense as you say, why is there an article on page one' I personally never lose sight of the fact that the person on the other end of the phone has a sh*tty job, because as I mentioned--I've had that sh*tty job. But that's not the point--my point is that Customer service should be prepared to deal with upset customers. They are the majority of the people calling in. The customer has the right to be upset, and its assinine to try to take it away from them, especially of your business is not a monopoly.

Re:Bite me Lee Jones
I'm not even a Cake customer. And I agree with you that many people would ultimately change service providers. I just think that anyone who represents a company (poker website, cell provider, retail outlet etc) should think twice before telling customers how to complain, especially by publishing an article on this website. If someone is complaining, its because they are upset. Part of providing customer service is recognizing that the customer is upset for a reason, and their anger is often misdirected. Instead of crying about it, find the problem, and fix it to diffuse the situation. ...

Bite me Lee Jones
First off, I actually read some of this *edit* books years ago. Kudos for writing about poker when few people were. (I was taught to always lead with a compliment before criticism). Now onto your P5's article, which is on the front page as I write this. Blow me. Are you serious' You wrote a guide on how a customer should deal with a Customer Service Rep' Good for you for standing up for your employees, but how dare you put out a written mandate for your loyal customers to follow when they are upset with your company's service. I've done service in the past, and understand its a ...

Re:Off Topic, Find me an Associates Degree= $$$ for you
Can't figure out for the life of me what they want you to have a 2-year CS degree for. You have industry certs, any 4 year degree, and real work experience--you should be way more qualified than some kid with a 2 year degree. Does he need to find some way to prove to his superiors that you can perform your job without actually evaluating your performance'

Try the name your own price thing if you are flexible. Otherwise Travelocity is okay. Farechase was the best, but Yahoo killed it.

Maybe I'm a cup half-full kind of guy, but a hot chick could wear a burlap sack and I wouldn't find her any less hot. When I was single, I actually used to add points for bad attire, since it would somehow make them seem more attainable.

Re:Craziest city/submarket you've been through at night
I was in NYC doing work with buddies. We were staying across from old WTC site, and we went up to Times Square for site-seeing and liquor. We caught the 'E' Train back down to lower Manhattan, and one of my buds passed out on the train right before our stop. We snuck off the train, leaving him sleeping there with two junkies passed out at the other end of the car--we figured he would get up before the train left the station to go back the other way. He woke up 45 minutes later in Queens, and had no idea where he was, or what happened. He took it surprisingly well, since he is ...

I don't know Compton too well, but I drove Rosecrans through Compton to the 710 when I was doing work in Manhattan Beach about a decade ago. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be scary, but it wasn't.

Re:Craziest city/submarket you've been through at night
I think I'm calling this area part of Oak Park. Not sure if that's right or not. Yeah most parts of Del Paso Heights are sketchy, but again, I've been there hundreds of times after midnight without consequence. They used to have a couple of cardrooms up there, but for the life of me I can't remember what they were called. One of them moved downtown and became capitol casino. I've traveled quite a bit in the last twenty years, and always noticed a big difference between East Coast and West Coast cities. East Coast cities usually have a 'wrong side of the tracks' ...

Re:Redistributing wealth and it's negative impacts
Not really intended as a pot shot, just a commentary on how you are trying to address a complicated problem with an oversimplified view. Nobody can blame you for being a supply-sider, there are many valid reasons for supply side economics, and mostly I agree with supply side as a better methodolgy under normal circumstances. That said, without government intervention, the markets would have completely collapsed, and trade would have been destroyed without confidence in our economy. As an example of this necessary intervention, the Fed held a gun to Ken Lewis' head to make him go forth ...
