well, if the guy who lost his job is one of your best friends, the first thing I would do is contact his boss, and try my best to see if he could get his job back. basically go to bat for him, give the boss good reasons and examples of why he should be reinstated. maybe get some neighbors in the complex to do the same thing. regarding what you should do to the guy who turned your friend in, be careful, you could get yourself in trouble.

really good post, the future, well thought out answers, I coached high school basketball for a few years and I never wanted to run up the score, out of respect for the other team. But....I did feel I needed to get my second and third stringers, some real game time. And its really hard to ask these guys to go half speed, as they are really excited to actually be out there. I did not see the last play, but if they did run the ball up the middle, and I was the other coach, I dont think I would think they were running up the score. All college coaches understand the whole second and third team ...

was in a similiar situation regarding my sister a few years ago, no matter what you do its going to be tough. i understand you still want to help him, no matter how much he messes up. i chose to cut my sister off completely, it was tough, but i needed to focus on my family and help my parents overcome all the trouble and worry she had caused them. everything my parents and i did to help her and her kids only helped my sister get in more trouble. money for food/diapers,etc all went to support her drug habit. it was really tough to see how badly it affected my parents. by not helping her , ...

not sure i would put this on him...anytime you have the first pick, you are on the clock once the season ends, most teams in that position, are going to try to come to an agreement before they actually step up to the podium and announce their first pick. looks like the raiders really messed up in having this take so long.

One problem that has happened more than a few times, is that once the home make over is complete, it has caused a big increase in taxes for the families. There have been at least two foreclosures and others have had to sell because of that.

both sides of this discussion are right, yes you should not base the way you play your opponent, just on their db. I also agree that you should play them according to how they are playing at the moment, but on the other side...i agree with using the db, ALONG with other things to base how to play your opponent. every situation is different, but it does not hurt to have what you consider reliable info, about someones play.

Although I have not "taken the plunge" fulltime, there were two or three times I had 3-4 weeks to do nothing but play poker. This was either due to being injured and off from work or while on vacation. I won't try to give you advice, but I will tell you what worked for me.....I always tried to play each hand as best I could on every street. As long as I did that, I never worried about the bad beats. I prepared for each day of poker just as if I was going to work. Which meant shaving, showering, getting dressed and having a good meal. I have never spoken with Seal, but I have been at the same table as him in a few PLO tourneys, I was always impressed with how good natured he was and what a good sport he seemed to be. I always read his articles and appreciate the effort he puts into them. I think anyone who takes the time to share their knowledge or views in a positive way, should be commended. It makes Pocketfives the type of "community" I want to be a part of. I am not going to say that everyone should agree with his articles but I think we can all agree, he means nothing but the best for all who read his articles...and ...

FortuneMeyers, I want to thank you for the effort you have put into getting Stars to add step sng's. Yes, I understand the argument from some who say you want steps for your own benefit. I think all poker players (winning poker players) strive to play in games that they have a decided edge in, and you have found your edge. I see nothing wrong with trying to improve one's chance to succeed at poker. And a thank you to Stars support, for listening to their customers.

Go to Craigslist and look under "Household Services"...plenty of choices to choose from, call/email several up, you should get a good idea what the going price is. Make sure to specify exactly what type of cleaning needed...move out, deep cleaning, weekly or bi-weekly cleaning etc. Alot of independent cleaners advertise on Craigslist and I have found their prices to be lower than regular cleaning companies, yet the cleaning was just as good.
