very lucky to be even tied yet alone up right now. iirc there were at least two times where a devils player had a pretty easy goal but mitchell made a great play to deflect it away. devils def. had the better chances and were relentless between the blue lines forcing a lot of turnovers. an ugly period for both sides, but that's understandable given the layoff and nerves.

everything that hawk said about wegner sums up my feelings about him and the "job" that he does. biggest disgrace to the profession, and the legends of broadcasting would roll over in their graves if they ever had to listen to this assclown. totally unprofessional, he should at the very least be forced to give a public apology to wegner regardless of whether wegner made the correct decision or not.

wow this pains me to say but i almost completely agree with scottbrewr. while mcdonald deserves NL pitcher of the month, and guys like capuano, hamels, and gio are right in the mix as well, vogelsong is legit and induces a ton of groundballs especially in tight spots where he really needs a double play ball. this guy always buckles down when he has to, and pitches best when he's in a jam. and on the point about the giants defense, he is also correct- it is beyond brutal especially in the infield in terms of errors, lack of range, everything.

Gonna be a much tougher series than everyone is thinking. From what I have seen of the Devils, they have the forecheck and the intensity to keep up with the Kings. Our biggest advantage in the first 3 rounds was that we just outworked the hell out of our opponents, but the Devils will grind harder than our western conference foes. The key to the series is what Marty shows up. Not gonna make a prediction out of supersition, but can't fucking wait for Wednesday!

i'm scared for what bauer and skaggs can do if they get called up. those two with kennedy, miley who has been a sicko, and a healthy hudson is a pretty solid starting 5. the offense is always going to be inconsistent, but they are going to make a run as will the giants. just hope we can hold them off.

to be honest, neither can i. lilly and capuano are obv. pitching way over their heads right now, but bills and harang are pitching below expectations imo. the bullpen has been on and off, but has improved since jansen took over the closer role. i mean obv. for ANY team to sustain this pace is unreasonable, but the one thing that this team does has that i see from watching them every day is a chemistry unlike any i've ever seen on a dodger team. they never give up, pick each other up, and even in the 2nd half of last year, really have the "25 man" mentality with everybody legitimately rooting ...

Devils are playing better and deserve to win the series, but I still have a feeling this is gonna be '94 all over again. Still can't decide who I'd rather play. The Kings forecheck and pressure would prob. destroy the Rangers but Henrik would still God-mode and steal at least a couple games + don't really want to play at the Garden where strange shit always seems to happen regardless of the sport. OTOH the Devils forecheck would give the Kings some problems, and if good Marty shows up, it will be a hell of a series. Either way, glad we can sit around and wait, but am waiting for one hell of a ...

another game in phoenix. another A+ rack behind the phoenix bench. pretty sure its been a different chick every night but i mean this is getting ridiculous. kings are lucky to be in this one thanks to some sicko saves by quick. gotta take advantage of this power play and get the crowd out of the game.
