Re:16k Gtd Full Tilt - is this always a push??
just so most ppl know, most of the equity you gain in this hand is by winning the blinds and antes uncontested, not solely the value of your cards vs. a random hand. Then, those times that you do get called, you still have a fairly live hand (if not the best atm or a coinflip) a decent amount of the time.

Re:comin clean
A lot of people are missing what this debate is about. The "FoT" haters, for the most part, don't care about the fact that he's underage, in and of itself. We dislike the fact that online poker (online specifically! if this were live, ala Phil Ivey, this wouldn't be as bad) is in a really bad place right now, with the UIGEA, US v. Antigua, and all of the other proposed and current legislation. (I'm pretty sure) nobody's really taking offense to the fact that an underage player is "stealing" from the community via cashing in tournaments. He's ...

with no other information (a lot of which is crucial; table dynamics, image, etc)... call. is this a cash game with antes' or a tourney' (don't recognize the HH format) if so, what's the buy-in' definitely a gets a big "it depends".

Re:Icky AQ
If he happens to have any pair 66+ and not just the unpaired big cards that he probably had, you're spewing a lot of chips with this move. imo, you're better off smooth calling his raise, and then betting if he checks to you on the flop, or raising him if he c-bets. or just fold pre.

Re:9 Handed 1/2 line with AA
The only place I dislike your line is the turn check. If you were somehow behind on the flop, the turn was a great card for you. If you think the turn hit your opponent with the flush, he probably would've led out to avoid the naked big diamonds drawing out on him. And there are a LOT of worse hands that will call the turn bet.

Re:9 Handed 1/2 line with AA
if villian turns down the chance to bet on both the turn and river, then he's probably not going to call any bets much more than 1/2 the pot. With the pot ~100, 30-40 is probably the biggest bet that will get called by a worse hand.

Re:Borgata Deepstack 500K Guar.
So just for clarification, with the Borgata VIP ACCESS, you win a 10k seat into the borgata open and 15k cash, no strings attached' You don't have to play in any prelim events if you don't want to, right' (obviously, I'd play in at least one, but just checking on the details)

Re:Is this a good shove?
if you saw him limping with Ax, then his raising range UTG is probably much tighter, no' probably along the lines of 88+, AT+, KQ, at the loosest' if that's the case, then: a) you're probably close to even money vs his range, and b) he's probably not going to fold after raising 25% of his stack preflop it's a marginal push and you still have time before you're super desperate, but this being a $4.40, i'd probably push here too.

Re:the new 5 rebuy on stars? 25.00 add on?
i sort of like this, but there's no premium on the add-on. those 5k in chips are worth a lot less than $25 bucks. and each rebuy stack is just 1000 chips' i like the idea of the super-sized add-on, but the rebuys are a little too small. imo, anyway. then again, i might just be looking at this the wrong way, and see it as a $25 tourney with $5 rebuys... or something like that. of course, this isn't stopping me from trying it out again...

Re:pokerstars bug or am i just too tired?
if someone places more than 1.5 times the previous bet, there is "action". i.e., it's a live raise. the lowest amount he could've raised was up to 4500 for there to be continued action in the hand. if he raised it to 4499 or less, then only calls would be allowed.

Re:Flopped set, Did I play this correctly, or fold on the river
if you're going to continue with this hand on the turn (as you did, and as you should), raise (and prob shove) the turn. there are three diamonds on board, and you can't let a lone big diamond get there for free on the river. and for the record, the SB played this hand terribly, with the smooth call with QQ.

Re(2): AK early in 109 help me out best line
what his range here' he's not open-raising; another player (EP at that) is already in the pot. you re-raise him and he calls. the only way you can win this pot by betting now is if he has a pocket pair lower than 66, AQ, or AJ. These hands are a very small portion of his range (if they're even in his range for the raise and subsequent calling of your reraise). Most of the time you're going to be against a pocket pair that has either flopped a set, straight draw, or an over pair. If you bet, you're most likely not going to get a fold; you're either going to get a call (which means you're ...

Re(1): WSOP Questions and Thoughts
1) The schedule won't be announced until December, at the earliest 2) If you register for two events, and the playing times overlap (you make a Day2 or Day3 which coincides with a Day1 for a different event), they will refund your tourney entry. 3) They hold satellites for all of the events. You aren't paid out a specific entry, however. They give you Tournament Tokens for the amount of the seat you were playing for, which you can use to buy into any event. So you could play two satellites for $1500 events, collect $3000 in tourney tokens, and then use them to buy into a $3000 event. If ...

Re(12): cigarettes
to clarify... there isn't a "smoking gene" per se, but some people are more genetically disposed to becoming addicted to smoking cigarettes. when i was in college, some of my friends would start smoking whenever we out for drinks... sometimes i'd smoke with them, sometimes i wouldn't, but i never wanted to smoke at any other time. with the amount of nicotine i consumed, i could've easily become addicted if i had that genetic disposition... but i didn't. haven't had a smoke in 3 years and could easily go the rest of my life without one.

totally agree... when i was around 10 yrs old... ramon and shawn michaels were two of my favorites, so thats an obvious bias pick... also agree that benoit and and jericho was a badass match, but i didn't appreciate it as much because i wasn't as into wrestling in 2001 (i think thats when that match was) as i was for late 80s - late 90s... good times all around tho

yeah... as far as ladder matches go, you have to at least include: TLC: dudleys v. edge/christian v. hardyz for the tag titles and razor ramon v. shawn michaels for the IC belt (one of my top 3 singles matches of all time)
