yep, I was hoping tOSU was going to swoop in and nab him but a Miami kid committed to Miami can probably lock that one up unless they have a terrible season. We have Cook 2.0 whos a 5* and 5* CB Anthony Lytton likely going to commit to FSU this month. FSU is really deep in it with a lot of studs and this class is going to be ridiculous for FSU. The talent in FL this year is A+, especially in the secondary, so I expect FSU to cash in and Miami seems poised to put up a legit class too. I also think Clemson, depends on how many they take, but wow, Clemson this cycle is really going to ...

Miami lands 5* Lorenzo Lingard, their first 5* in in 3 or 4 years I think. Lingard was a FSU lean until 5* James Cook and 5* Cam Akers committed to FSU but this is a huge get for Miami. Lingard is a flat out stud, he can be a program changer. UF was probably already 3rd but UF is now officially 3rd in the state as far as talent. FSU/UM is going to be something fierce in the very near future.

and Kaindoh is the #9 overall player in the country, who would be #1 in Maryland but was at IMG so they consider him FL, and hes #2 in FL behind Leatherwood (although Kaindoh won the final camp soundly).

solid day for FSU. Missing on Levi Jones stung a bit, that was my 3 of 5. Ruggs is an Alabama kid who Alabama wanted. Thats tough sledding there so that was always uphill. I do think we were close but theres no 2nd places in recruiting. Marvin, Jalen Parks, Kaindoh...we had the nations most sacks this year and those 3 guys are going to be impossible to block. You can see the potential of USC. USC is a program if they get it together on the field for another year or two and can be stable with its coaches/admin, watch out, that region is extremely talented out there and USC seems to ...

I am thinking at least 3 of 5 with possibility of 5 for 5. I think Thompson is a backup plan (for Ruggs) and not sure how serious FSU is on him so not really counting him.

we'll see... also, you didnt mention Neil Farrell, is that because you guys consider him 100% or 0%' Chaisson isnt a coin flip. FSU wants Ruggs but will take Smith...Bama is surprisingly nervous about Ruggs even after on Sunday night offering Ruggs little brother (2018 recruit) his first scholarship offer, hes not rated by 247 lol...Bama going straight out the Ole Miss playbook with that move...

fwiw, Bama will be 2017 pre-season Vegas favorites to win it all...they return the majority of their offense and they are by far the best recruited defense in the country, theyll be clear SEC fav's and the way too early line was -3.5 vs FSU Boke, tOSU class extremely good (currently 2nd, likely finish 2nd). Not a big class, only 20 which is small but so much of the team returns. tOSU took 6 guys in the secondary and all studs. I am also a big fan of Barron Browning, I think hes the best LB in this class, and Chase Young an extremely good DE, I think top 3 to 5 in this class. tOSU clear ...

It wouldnt surprise me if Smith does go to LSU but I think Bama is the clear favorite at this point. He just finished his Bama OV last weekend and Saban spent a lot of one on one time with him the entire visit. Then a couple days later, believe it was this past Wednesday, Saban (and a couple other Bama coaches) went in home with Smith again. They went full court press to get him to shut it down and not go to Miami this weekend and he did cancel that visit. Hes been a clear Bama lean for a long time and I think they are the favorite but I do think LSU has a chance (and FSU). Its the last ...

Were getting Levi Jones out of Texas. Also going to get Leonard Warner. I think we get Wilson, think he said yes Thursday, and probably flip Farrell. We'll see what happens with Henry Ruggs/Devonta Smith. Already flipped Hamsah. ESPN Insider also put out a story yesterday saying that "other coaches that recruit extensively against FSU are expecting FSU to close extremely strong again this year." I guess you never know for sure until the LOI's are in but theres quite a bit of chatter out there around FSU.

FSU has been on Grant Gunnell for about a year and half now, maybe even longer. His recruitment is going to be fierce and I think he ends up going to a powerhouse QB school that runs pro-style. Whats your feeling on Wilson and Farrell' edit: and I dont think UF cheated, not sure how legit that story is.

McFarland was a big pickup for Maryland. Theyve put together a solid class, currently #16 in country. Was also rumors that Calvin Ashley was really looking at Maryland as well (may still be, not sure). Stanford for having such a small class has some absolute studs. Two of the top three OL and best QB in the country going to Stanford. Its so tough to qualify for Stanford, but the kids that can, Stanford almost never misses on them. I expect the PAC to see quality of conference play dramatically improve in the near future with USC, Stanford, UW kind of carrying the torch. UCLA has some ...

Hamsah is a hit stick and extremely athletic. Will be FSU's enforcer in the secondary once Derwin leaves. He really impressed FSU at our camp this year. Hes also the #1 player out of the state of NC, giving FSU its 5th state where weve pulled the #1 player in the state. Steve Wiltfong who's in charge of 247 recruiting,"Think potentially Kam Chancellor or Jaylon Smith depending on where he lines up at."

rumors of Jimbo leaving just help the situation tbh, hes not going anywhere. Michigan has a really good class coming in. I was critical of the skill positions for Michigan this year and still stand by it, but DPJ is a stud and Tarik Black is a great combo. I am a fan of McCaffrey and once he fills out, I think hes going to be really good. Still dont see a deadly RB for Michigan right now, but Harbaugh starting to get the pieces in place. If Michigan can land Aubrey Solomon away from Bama and pair him with Rashan Gary, UM dline will continue to do real damage.

I am guessing the other school was USC for two 5* RB's in early 2000's' maybe Bama', although FSU in the 90's was probably close but rankings then werent nearly what they are these days. And its crazy with FSU and RB's right now, we literally lost 5* Lorenzo Lingard in next years class because of our current roster at RB. FSU was by far his leader until Cook and then Akers wanted in.

Agree, its a nice way of saying no chance. I also think Bama is out of it but kind of by choice, they can only take one of Smith and Ruggs, and to me this feels like Bama is confident with Ruggs who just finished his OV at FSU (and goes to Bama this week) and Bama is telling Smith to look at other options. Miami likely landing Jeff Thomas who is heavy Miami lean (Thomas and Smith very similar). Feels like FSU is going to seal the deal with Smith (or Ruggs, I would be shocked if we dont get 1).

Dont think FSU goes after Bowie nice article comes out right after the championship game, "Alabama defensive end Tim Williams has “failed many drug tests” and that his serious substance abuse issues are very similar to those of Dallas Cowboys’ d-lineman Randy Gregory." Bama never reported and he was never once suspended. /

Marvin Wilson really interesting to me. LSU seems confident but FSU has always been confident and they just keep getting more and more confident. Somebody close to him is telling FSU positive news. I dont follow LSU close enough to why LSU is confident. Why does LSU feel good about Wilson' Is it just because hes scheduled an OV there'
