2$ rebuy .....now what? I think c/ring a board with this texture was too dangerous, but I don't see anything wrong with protecting with 96s if you felt you could outplay the villain. It's always gonna be difficult though Posted in: Poker Discussion |

No idea here, call or fold??? Yes at these stakes players rarely fold to 3bets with KQ or even worse. Imo the villain could play 88,22,KcQc or AK in this way, as you can see from the stats and the action (the donkbet in a 3bet pot) they're likely to be an inexperienced player who is very unlikely to have a bluffing range here especially as the flop didnt have 1 draw. And also because the villain is likely to be inexperienced and the pot size is 2910 basically the villain's stack (3000) they may think this bet is going to get value of all your strong Aces and prevent you from making your supposed backdoor flush whereas a ... How to make successful poker friends and alienate (losing) people? I'm not that succesful in poker my stats aren't great but they're improving so I'm happy. Yes I shoudn't have thought I was gonna be rich by playing $50 and $100 double or nothings and 0.50/1.00 deep stacked cash games during my start on stars without any experience, that was a mistake on my part. Is there anyway to improve my poker circle without having a good poker history, or is it just down to life rungood' So far my most successful mate is Mentality135 (who I went school with), but I wanna befriend a sicko tbh nothng to do with staking, that don't matter, just for pure discussion of ... Any tips for grinding a good volume of SNGs only 6-tabling? I currently play at the 3.50 level and I wouldn't mind exploring whether super turbos are a good option for me, but i definitely need to know the strategy a bit better right now. And I do have table ninja but I don't need it for 6 tables so I don't use it, and I think tiling's the way for me I like to watch action I'm univolved in to maximise the EV of my plays against the very active players u find in the micros. Yh unluckily for us Brits, Wal Mart is only a dream to us, there's nothing like it here but I am interested in getting an external monitor, maybe other superstores may have some ... Any tips for grinding a good volume of SNGs only 6-tabling? I would happily use smaller tables if the sites I played on allowed it, but with the resolution my laptop has, 1366 x 768, I can only tile 6 tables on stars On the home desktop I can tile 9 tables, but apparently I can't use that computer to play poker.... as you can tell I need to move out :S Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Any tips for grinding a good volume of SNGs only 6-tabling? Tbh I gave stacking a long hard try and my ROI went down about 2/3 so I'm guessing my edge does come from watching players in hands I'm not involved in street by street, but the 2hours thing helps me in terms of planning at what points to break up my session Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Any tips for grinding a good volume of SNGs only 6-tabling? Lately I've been finding a bit of success playing the 18mans on stars, but due to the fact that they don't have a break and I'm only 6 tabling im finding it hard to stop and then restart a session, does anyone have any tips on how to stay focused while I eat or take any break or to put in longer sessions without breaks. My target volume is 50 a day or more. The reason why I don't play tourneys is beacuse the stakes I'd have to play with my bankroll have too large fields and aren't as profitable daily as these SNGs. Thank you for any advice. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Poker Tracker's/HUD are you for or against them? I agree with Wacky, but as pokerstars does with other things such as VIP status and the amount of tables players are on, I suspect if this was implemented players would be able to hide themselves to prevent others knowing they were using a HUD and I would most certainly take this option and I believe most others would. And off topic wacky ur english is unreal good, your making me wanna learn Lithuanian just to return the favour :P Posted in: Poker Community |

Gl GL djk123 and Doc Sands in the WPT LAPC main event 18 left I know there's still hard work for them to do to win this thing, but both are online pros, who have a great load of respect in this community for their games, and have proven themselves to be able recreate their great online success live. I aspire to be as successful as them but for now, I wish them both major run good in the late stages of this tourney, imo they're gonna be hall of famers when we're all old and grey :) DJK123 is second with 1,749,000 chips (30,000 behind CL) Doc Sands is ninth with 819,000 First prize: $1,370,240 gl stevie444 as well Posted in: Live Poker |

Poker Tracker's/HUD are you for or against them? Could you imagine if sites warned players that would put off new players so much, it may be unethical but its necessary at least while these softwares cost money to not make rec players be scared to play a game that they enjoy Posted in: Poker Community |

Is it considered EV+ to hide your stats and/or VIP status? The biggest problem with a thread like this, the players on this forum have generally played long enough to meet a few poor supernova players, but I'll admit as I don't play SNs too often, I do make adjustments to my game to accomodate them, such as 3bet tighter and call their shoves in tournaments much lighter than any random. I reckon rec players may do the same It's the same for when I play people with mega stats, especially the ones in this community, I have to go for their chips a bit more since they're so successful. Their chips feel more lucky in my stack haha Posted in: Poker Community |

Poker Tracker's/HUD are you for or against them? woah Liquid Sword went philosophical on us, but I agree with everyone arguing that it's important for sites to have players using HUDs to be putting in mega-volume as if they're bots. Yes these players make cash room games (and even sometimes SNGs) genuinely depressing to play, but these are the players that help sites maintain large prizepools and no one wants the prizepools dropping f that. Poker Tracker's/HUD are you for or against them? I think its dependent on the stakes u play, I'm a micro stakes player and the nits/super nits (and the play-every-hand players) that you find on most of my tables are so exploitable when you can see their stats clearly, and its just too hard to observe the way they're playing on more than 5 tables. Yes its gives me an advantage, but I wouldnt consider unfair, cos pokerstars says so yaaay! I know Moorman and HITTHEPANDA don't play with HUDs so I dont think full time players need em But I do believe every1 should use them but you shouldn't get obsessed with having perfect stats/image urself ... Is it considered EV+ to hide your stats and/or VIP status? Yh this is so true, the thing I'm wondering is how rec players react to a supernova, someone needs to do a poker study. One day..... I was thinking of doing this but I think its maybe a flip as to whether ur opponents know how to do that search thing and still think ur one tabling or think you're excluded urself from the search on purpose, the latter is what I tend to think. Is it considered EV+ to hide your stats and/or VIP status? I'm always trying to think about ways to increase my edge as you should I guess, even if its small things like this. So I was wondering if anyone had experience of whether having saying great or poor stats or being like one of the higher VIP statuses affects the way opponents play against you even slightly.
