dude i dont think anyone is defending merge, and for the accounts that are sharing etc.. i dont think any grinder likes it , but the thing is wether we like it or not with merge being our only option to play and we can still profit in games that are "full of cheats" then why would we not play still' grinders that grind for a living dont really have many options, as long as im paying my bills and am able to overcome whatever "collusion' u say is going on , then im going to continue to grind , its your choice not to play bro, and its my choice to play , and every single grinder knows the risk ...

i think everyone gets it and knows risks that come with online poker until we have regulation, everyone is basically just dealing with what we got left until that happens and even if there are some things that arent 100% legit going on as long as people are still able to make enough to survive until we have better options in the US then shuffle up and deal, and o btw if u have that big of a problem with the integrity of merge why in the world would u continue to reg up everyday'' just sayin

Is Carbon Poker a less difficult site to win on than Pokerstars and Fulltilt?
if your playin 11 and 22 dol fo on merge than yes its softer, but when your playin the bigger stakes your forced to play with alot more regs than u would in a huge feild mtt on stars or ftp, i def dont think merge is as soft as people seem to think, but it does depend on the stakes

wow u use to receive checks from merge in 1 week' pretty sick and the first ive heard of it being that fast, 4-6 weeks has pretty much been the standard for me and anyone else that i know , the fastest was 3.5 weeks to have my check in hand tho

no it being 4way on this flop doesnt bother me much, u have 2 checkers alreadly and the preflop aggressor bets and you have position with heapz of chips, the 2 people that checked most likely just c/f a ton of time on this type of flop , and if u get one other caller u still have position on turn and can eval the action and act accordingly

you are opening in the hijack with a decent stack and get a flat and bb ships his 23bigs from bb, depends on dynamics leading up to this spot , how much u been opening etc and what reads u have on villian if hes going to 3bet squeeze shove light here , it looks like a good spot for him to be light at times , without any reads on villian and knowing the table dynamic hard to say if i call or fold, i think best thing you can do in spots like this is know your image and the villians image and have a plan to call or fold when he shoves, its always good to look at stacks left behind to act and ...

pre i dont mind flatting you guys are all pretty deep i dont mind taking QQ to a flop IP, post flop the board is really dry, i prolly just flat the flop again and eval the turn, most likely u have the best hand here or u are way behind AA or KK which u said u think is possible, on the turn if checked to me id bet for value and eval the action

with the history you described and villian havin a big stack 3betting alot i see nothing wrong with your play, u have 25bbs to start hand he can 3bet u knowing u have to jam or fold like 100% of the time so he can def be doing this light to put pressure on you for your tourny life, to me its UL with his image that you ran into the top of his range here, just to add im sure when u opened here you were thinking ahead if he 3bet you what u were gonna do and your plan was obv to 4bet/shove , never bad to follow through on your plan imo, the result isnt fun but the play and plan still fine imo

i think every mtt grinder has prolly felt similar to the way u do at some point, but then you become more aware of what true variance really is and the only way to counter variance is to keep regging and working on your game, you always have room to get better at this game and that is the beauty of the game no matter how good you are or think you are there is always someone better and room for improvement never ends, trust me sir every single mtt grinder runs bad, it may seem some run worse than others but its really not the case, some put in more volume/more work, some just play on a higher ...

Is this the right play
u played this correctly imo, u have 18bbs with a open and flat in front, u have the perfect resteal stack and anything else but shoving looks to strong , since u will be shoving im assuming alot wider then AA here then u should be shoving AA as well to balance ur shove range and still get called by worse , looks like a great spot for a squeeze and its a huge + that u have AA and can hope to get called by worse hands since people will range your 3bet squeeze range alot wider than that

Thoughts about a specific hand and general 3-bet question
it depends on villian and how he views you, if he is a reg and he is 3xin the cutoff he knows wether he is callin or folding to your stack already, most regs tend to have a plan, the 3bet instead of jam might make him think you are stronger but it really depends on how he views you and knows if you can just be doing it for that reason to look stronger , hard to say if its going to change his plan of callin or folding to your stack when he opens the cutoff 3x here
