Re:FT 3/90 KO turbo near bubble with JJ
Shove. I think shoving here is the difference between potentially winning this tournament and min-cashing. Just my .02.

Re:So I could have saved a child's life... (kinda long)
I like where your heads at on this and have often thought about doing this as well. However, I wouldn't make this decision based on what some random says on the street. I'm from Chicago as well and there are too many scam artists around here to trust someone on a street corner. Do some research about where your money is going and how its spent if you sponsor a child. Choose a reputable company and take the plunge. I think you'd be surprised how good you'd feel if you received a letter and/or picture from a kid you are helping feed and hopefully educate. Just my .02

Re:10 songs that you feel in your soul when listening to them
Ah, the P*U*L*S*E* DVD. If I had a dollar for every time I smoked out and watched this video end to end.

WP, I forgot that one and short of maybe Like a Rolling Stone, that would have been my first Dylan choice.

Kings of Leon ftw. I'd pick Muse, but technically their 1st album Showbiz came out in 1999.

Re:Online poker is dying.
I just called the Consumer Complaints # at 888-851-1920 and spoke to a live receptionist who did mention that they were receiving many calls regarding the UIGEA this morning. During my conversation with the recep, I was told that I may be better served calling the Board of Governors line at 202-974-7008 as well. It's a VM system, but does provide another avenue.

Re:How would you spend your money? Heartland Sattys
The lower level sattys are so much of a luckfest because of how fast the blinds move (makes a typical turbo tourney feel like a deepstack WSOP event), but any good player should be able to make it in two attempts at most at the $115 level or three attempts at the $80 level, however its definitely a crapshoot. With that said, the $340 is a good structure and allows you to make some moves that aren't available at the smaller sattys. If your goal is to make the main event with only $400, then I personally would buy-in directly to the $340 and take my shot there. Just my 2 cents

Re:How to flop Quads and get paid
Nice riddle Sneaky...15 $5 chips and 15 $1 chips' Seems hard to post a $1 blind if everyone has nothing but $3 chips. I'd hate to be the dealer/cashier in that game if that's the case.

Re:How well would Stu Ungar fair in today's poker world?
Although I agree he wouldn't fair well in the long 7 day+ tourneys, I think he would kill the shorter prelim tournies with the faster structures. He'd probably have around 15 bracelets by now (assuming he actually started playing again after the 97 ME win) I'd figure he'd average at least one per year and proabably would of added his fourth ME title. FWIW, I just reread "One of a Kind" about Stuey. It is still one of the fastest reads ever.

Re:Am I Supposed to Feel Like This??
I recommend three books that have helped control my emotions at the tables... 1. Zen and the Art of Poker - Larry Phillips 2. Elements of Poker - Tommy Angelo 3. Ace on the River - Barry Greenstein AOTR is not as important imo as the first two, but they are all +ev. Good luck
