Re:E-Mail from pokerstars security
I could care less if they let you continue play or not, but I do agree you're culpable here from their point of view. Not only did you engage in transfers with him, but you share the same IP address and you admitted to knowing that he scammed them from that IP address (multi-accounting and running negative balance). It's like you have a roommate who deals drugs from your apartment and gets caught then when questioned by the cops you admit to knowing about it but wonder why you're getting arrested. You could have moved out, kicked him out or got your own internet connection ...

Re(2): why wouldn't stars offer something like this more often? Scotty????? anyonnnnnnnnne?
how could you say it wouldn't be as big a deal if it wasn't done more often'! double fpps = double rakeback.. so for supernova who plays midstackes NL cash games, rakeback equivalent in fpps is rougly 28%.. if you double the fpps it will become 56%.. that rate of rakeback is 20% higher than any poker centered site would offer you. it's like you're paying 1/2 the rake you should be paying and that can mean thousands of dollars saved over a year, even tens of thousands for those with hugh volume. i think for a supernova elite, they'd be paying almost zero rake after this ...

Re(3): poker coaches "ghosting" their clients......
from the coach's point of view, i find this really -ev. s/he could be multitabling and making decent amounts but instead he's ghosting a weakling in a $20 freeze out. it doesn't happen as often as you would think, probably at FTs with decent pay outs, but that's mostly it. i'd be more worried about backers who ghost. they have the bigger incentive to do so since their money is on the line.

Re(9): Do you pay taxes on poker money won in another country?
that's not exactly true.. lotteries are not taxable, but all the other stuff is a gray area.. if you're winning consistantly in gambling and you don't declare winning for taxing purposes, you will find the cra knocking at your door. <a href=; check this out from 2+2,</a> has tons of info on this.

Re(3): Banned from FTP, acused of cheating, funds seized
if the credit card scammer wins money then goes on and loses everything, i really wonder if they would bother to go through the same efforts to refund those who lost money to the cheater.

if what you say is all true and the HH is not doctored then it looks like someone at ftp support is having a power trip. where the hell do they find these dorks'' this is the kinda stuff that makes online poker look so shady, when you got one of the biggest sites out there confiscating funds like that.

i think joey and phoebe are the least funny.. joey is a bit too dumb to be funny and phoebe doesn't make any sense. ross getting stuck in all those awkward situations is funny for sure, but as a character he's lame.

Re(1): how bad am i at cash games...
the raise itself is okay.. you can't just 3-bet AA,KK and AK in a cash game, you wouldn't be a winning player like that.. what i find problematic is that you chose to do it vs a half stack where you wouldn't have a lot of fold equity if you were to make a move postflop. this is a fold preflop all the time vs a raise by a small stack.

Re(7): Warning of Possible collusion of 2 players at 1/2 6 max on stars
it takes a while for you funds to clear when you cash out. so don't worry about that. just hope they're not losing money, coz that will complicate the reimbursement process. i think if enough people complain they will freeze accounts while they investigate.

Re(4): '' give me back my mortgage money ''
i honestly don't see why you should feel any guilt for taking his money. as others stated, he woulda lost it to someone else anyway, and it's your job and you don't know this guy personally. i don't think salespeople post in the salesmen forum about how they feel guilt for making customers pay for shit they don't need coz they're making more commission. do you see lawyers complain about charging awful fees to their clients' the list can go on... if you feel what you do is worthless to society, then you need to examine why you want to get out of life or see how you can contribute more to your ...

Re(1): omg sick 4 bet wtf?
he's a successful but really TAG, bordering on nitty, short handed cash game player. plays 2/4, 3/6NL. from what i've seen on the tables, i can't put him here on anything other than AA or KK. he's always got the goods when he's called. so he's not the type would even venture into this with AK unless you and other villain have been goofing around a lot and probably then he would just jam it in. 90% of the time, this is AA, KK, %10 AK, QQ.

until he starts posting snapshots of his graphs or poker tracker, which i highly doubt he uses anyway, i'm gonna assume that he's breakeven at best.. after all he was posting from 3/6 hands two days ago, 2/4 earlier in the day yesterday and 3/6 again now. so obv he only posts the kodak moments otherwise he wouldn't drop a level.

Re(1): poker is the toughest job?
lol at the kid who committed suicide for not being able to pay taxes.. that's quite patriotic.. he felt so bad for letting down his country that he couldn't take it anymore. honestly dude, that story doesn't make sense. coz you don't have to pay taxes if you're not making income and if he did work for a company his taxes would be deducted automatically from his paycheck.. woulda been better off claiming that he committed suicide coz he lost his whole roll and couldn't pay rent or support a family.

why play a rebuy if you don't wanna rebuy or add on' you're gonna be the underdog for sure and if you do make it all the way to 2nd place you might have actually won it had you taken the 2nd buy in and made more chips along the way.

hate it, 15% is more than enough. 20% makes tournies like the 3r and 5r not worth playing coz anything less than the top 5 or 6 is a meager payout. those donks will always keep coming back whether it's 15% or 20%.

what about zeejustin then' he got removed from the rankings when he admitted cheating, but his posting privileges were not removed on P5. why is this any different now' and btw JJ got removed from the rankings not for being underage but for cheating as the site admins clearly stated at the time (his age didn't come into the pic until later).

Re(3): I'm pretty pissed........
JJ and ZeeJustin were removed from the P5 rankings when they got caught and admitted to cheating, don't see why Imp should be treated differently. he can still post on the site if he wishes since he hasn't broken any rules here, but keeping him in the rankings clearly looks like he's getting preferential treatment unless someone in the site admin can point out a significant difference between this case and JJ/ZeeJ. to say that since not all cheaters can be caught it's unfair to ban those that do, is a really weak argument, and it's inconsistent with previous actions coz players have been ...

Re(5): what do you guys do here 2/4 nl.....
don't mean to be mean... but op is a nit.. raise or fold preflop, don't ever limp with a pp from early position. also what value are you making by betting pot on river but not betting turn' if the preflop raiser in position checks it down to the river, how often do you think that he's gonna call you with something that you beat' this river raise is crushing you 90% of the time and is a bluff with air the other 10%.

Re(5): Tournament "chat" on Pokerstars. Am I wrong for doing this?
while i understand your points about it being stupid, this could be construed as collusion where two guys trying to dump chips to each other are guiding one another through the process. obv if you'd collude with someone in a tourney you'd probably be doing this chat on the phone or through aim, but if someone does complain about it, i see why stars has to give a warning. in a cash game, this won't affect the dynamic of the game since you could make a money transfer just like you dump chips on the table.
