Incredible !?!?!?! (well for me)
The way I have been running has been... well, in a word... BAD!!!! I started playing the stars $4 180 man SNG after I blew $1000 in one month playing cash. (that's alot of money to me by the way). Starting out well in the stars tourney (finishing 4th and 2ond) I thought I had found my cash cow. After all last year it was my grinding stone. After my good start things went downhill bad beats and bad playing beat on my unprotected bankroll like a battered spouse. Going broke once more I decided to reload to no avail. I was down to about $27. I decided to try $3.40 turbo SNG. Once again I ...

Re(1): What if poker sites MADE you practice good bankroll management?
I think I would like this feature, but not as something to be forced on you. I think there should be an option in the poker rooms that players can dictate thier own limits according to thier bankroll and how loose they want to play. So my suggestion is have this feature where you can say for example "I have 4500 I wanna play the .5/$1 NL CASH and no higher and stop loss at 3 buy ins". Then that setting will stay on and cannot be changed for 24 hours. I guess the stop loss would have to be per 24 hour period too. but you get the concept. What do you think of that'

Re(1): when is enough, enough
This is all a new area to me as I am not a fan of big cash games. For the very reason you posted about. I don't like the idea of "lose a hand lose money". I am strictly MTT. However.... WOW 40K. I have never had a bankroll that was more than 26K. Then up to 90K.... Insane!!!! I wouldn't stop for six months but you do need a break

Re(4): I now need a job
For anyone that has fear of getting caught doing online poker here's a tip. There are several sites out there to bounce you IP off of so that your IP address is not bradcasted on the net. Hackers do it all the time to keep from being found. is one of them. They have like 20 different gateways that you can use that make it look like you are logged on from places like japan, honkong, (you get the picture). As far as how to withdraw your winnings... well you can do that by using netteller. They will send you an ATM card you dont have to use a financial institution. Now as to them tracking your ...

Re(3): Falling Asleep with Chip Lead???
I have done it once. On a sunday mill sat. I was highly upset when I did it. Because that was a time where I was 2K in the hole playing poker. I was chasing the dream of FTing on the sunday mil. So I would try to win 2 seats a week just in case I couldn't make it happen one particular week. 10K at the break with my skill I figured my self 1 out of 4 chance I could have won. I was in for like 15 dollars.... and trust me when your bank roll is like 160 dollars 15 is very taxing.

What's up with Ultimate Bet Freerolls
I went to play on ultimate bet just to see what it is like to play on a slow betting structure. I didn't really wanna put any money in it so I played the free roll. It kills me though. Every single time I have played that tournament. I have gotten booted in durrin the first three levels to someone doing something like pushing all thier chips in with nothing on the flop more than a draw. This last time TT I raise the pot the flopcame 232 called a $400 bet. The turn came a 9 Called an all in when the aggresor turned over A4 (a gutshot). Then an ace comes on the river. I am trying to ...

Re(1): rebuy question...
I like to add on when I think it will matter. For instance I like to have at least 10K after the break. So I will definitely add on if I have 8K to achive that. But let's say I have 18K. At the time the decision is based on the cost of the ad on and how many times I had to rebuy before the break. In the $3 and $5 I would rebuy because it isn't much money to me. In the $10 it depends on how much I am already in for. 55R or 100R I wouldn't add on unless it really benifited me. Thing is I never play 55 or 100. LOL I aint got that kinda money.

Re(2): limping with aces UTG
I hate it when I get caught by this play. I used to hate guys that play this way. But the further I thought about it the more I figure. (this is no different than check raising or check calling to appear weak. It just that it's risky. You let people into the hand that should not be in it. Then when the big blind flops two pair on you, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Re(1): HELP..poker is draining me!!
In my opinion you should go back to what you were doing when you loved the game... Because if it gets to where you hate it but you do it for the money you will not survive. It's no different from the person whe works a job they hate because it pays well.
