Re(3): the re-release of the new thepokerdb
VN Site! Congrats. I was about to report that the time frame page links were dead but a quick retry and they are working now. Now that's support, lol. One minor point- when you go into the Personal Dashboard or other menu options, there is no obvious link back to the Player Profile page. The browser back button works, but this can be a few clicks away. GL McEwan

Re(1): gg paradise and life
********!!!! This really stinks. The nightly Coral MTT was just right for my BR and limited time. Dise was the first site I played at until we had a major falling out lol but I had come back over the last few months and enjoyed playing there. Too bad. Overall, I tend to think that all this will be sorted out eventually, maybe it will take a few months. Poker will get additional legislation in the US to officially legalize it. Banning it makes no sense to me. That is just too effed up....

Re(3): The TRUTH about luck in poker
I think you hit the nail on the head here PuertoKid. If you imagine 2 equal players in the same situations over a period of time, there is a good chance that one will prevail by, for example, winning their races at a critical points in several high pay-out MTT's and the other does not. Winning those allows the player to establish a career and become a 'high-roller'. The losing player will have to start that process again. He may well get himself to the critical point again and go on to succeed, or after several attempts give up and be a "failure". Note that the skill of the players is still ...

Re(2): Instead of EV, Think risk vs reward
"Phil Gordon has a nice little illustration in his book of AA vs KK (81.6% fav). If you are in this situation four times you are already only 43% chance to survive." This is something that I cant get my head around. It's been discussed before (getting AA hand 1 at the WSOP at you've won the last 5 times with it previously so you should fold). It just doesn make sense. Surely each time I play AA I have the exact same odds as any other time since the cards have no knowledge of previous results. Someone logically suggested that each time the odds diminish: .81 X .81 X .81 X .81 X .81 = 18.5% ...

Dunno if you can record stats live. but the external window will show you the stats of players in your dB, type in the names in the seat positions and the stats appear. Probably get a better answer on the PT forum Mc
