with 35bb i 100% guarentee you can find multiple better spots then calling it off vs cold 4 bet jams with 2 to act behind you and its really not that close.

Our stack matters because as much as a lot of guys hate to admit it you can pass up Marginal spots in tournaments because there is no rebuy option. There is value to passing up marginal spots in order to look for better spots and your stack size in relation to hte blinds determines which spots you should be passing up / not passing up Thus with 30 bb i.e. deans post you have a lot more time to look for better spots that are not as marginal as this spot vs here with 24bb here your options are more limited. I call and fold with 30bb +

Thanks for all the love guys! few rando aspects of the hand that espn didnt take into account.. 1) The hand prob took somewhere between 10-15 mins total... closer to 15 i think.. I tanked for about 2 mins preflop before flatting, flop went fairly quick then on the turn i take about 30-45 secs before shoving then Duhamel tanks for like 6-7 minutes before calling. 2) Shove vs flat pre' Meh think i played it preety well... hes folding like 90+% of his 4 betting range.. board was obv the worst flop and turn ever for AA but he never has set or 2 pair after chk /calling flop, he just bet ...

OP has a point, but i feel that he greatly over estimates his point. I feel that i have proven my skill in hsmtt's and am not backed my self. The reason i feel that most MTT players get backed (and i am thinking of getting backing for the same reason now that im playing live more) is that the bankroll required to play big buyin MTT's is astronomical. I mean a 2 million dollar roll would be reilistic if you were playing solely 10k events all the time. Now i mitigate my risk of not being backed by just selling action / satiliting in to anything that is too big of a buyin for me being ...

500 6 max wouldnt be that great of a vlue tournament.. A $200 - $300 FR freezeout would draw so much better. Just turnt he nightly into a $200 or $250 on mondays and up the guarentee to 200k
