Exchange rates when cashing out?
Doubt you ever get that much of a difference Murkmanz. If you have knowledge of trading forex it could be advantageous but unless you are doing it with large sums of money its pretty pointless.

ugly spot, early in the warm up
As Tim said their ranges seem to be waited to flush/two pair/combo draws that I dont think I can find a fold here. BB could be turning up with anything here and even against AK we have good equity.

opinions please, live cash game hand
I mean the only hands we lose to are AA,99,A9,98 right' His flop bet is just so small that I cant see him turning up with AA that often when the flop has two hearts. So that leaves 99..and A9....both of which seem probable considering his line but I think he has a flush here so often that we can snap him off.

Confusing Spot
Not really gaining much info by leading here. I tend to check-raise small on the flop as it defines his range much better than a lead.

pokerstars not connecting
they are doing a server restart. i tweeted them yesterday and their sng's have been off all night as they said they are doing a restart to fix the problem. Was at 7.00am et so should be available now.

Micro Stakes mtt hand discussion
Preflop: We could make it a little smaller here like 1450 but no biggie. You and the villain are both pretty deep and his range probs consists of 6s+, KQs, A9s+, AJo+ Flop: (4800) - I probs bet a little bigger like just over half pot and lets us define his range a little more. Turn (8400) - I like a check raise here. I mean if we lead and he flats is gives us little info to what we already have. A check raise with the intention of calling a shove if 4b seems better here. Is this a bad laydown?
I dont think that we can/should put our opponents on certain hands but we have to look at ranges of hands when questioning a play. Also once ive put in 35-40% of my stack im not folding. I think if you are going to fold then you should def fold to the three bet. I dont see much point in 4b folding.

I dont mind the flat pre but im def calling the ship or 4 betting a bit bigger postflop. I mean are they really going to have 6 4, 7 5 and combos' Perhaps the bb but not the raiser. Def getting it in and thinking im racing vs a flush draw or overcards.

I'm also playing that party poker comp mcwilliams, should be good depending how many people join it. Trouble is most of their mtts in the evening uk time seem to be $22 $33 and $50 which dont count for the comp, not many $5 or $11.[/QUOTE] I know there arent many to chose from. I feel I am in the same situation as the OP except I have never bothered to practice brm at all in the 4 years that i have played recreationally. But its just sickening reloading and reloading. Im saving up a few hundred to stick on party and grind low stakes sit and gos and mtts and practise brm. This will probs be my last shot at it as its getting silly just burning money by "gambling" basically sitting at a sng or cash with half my roll. I have a months free training from p5s to use and will be using it in February while playing mtts for the party poker comp. OP for me it is so easy to ...
