Vancouver rioting
This is not at all representative of Vancouverites. 99% of the population is completely embarrassed and disgraced by what took place. People who started the riot were chaos-activists, who reportedly had brought bottles full of gas, weapons, etc before the game had even started. These people were going to riot regardless... and angry liquor-fueled hockey fans joined the mob once things started getting out of hand. Reports of a boston fan getting stabbed seem true, but cannot confirm a fatality at this point, nor can I confirm a rumoured suicide attempt jump off cambie street ...

My gut is telling me Ivey has some info re: ftp's soon-to-be demise and this is a very very smart (and obviously well-timed) PR move to remove any connection to FTP before the castle crumbles... and end up looking like the people's champ at the same time. Next week or two will shed a lot of light on the full tilt frozen funds situation. I wouldn't be surprised if this move is in reaction to news that we, the public, have yet to hear.

One of the most unappreciated mtt grinders, Chris "maxxscam" Back of Vancouver, BC has just become the FIRST PLAYER to complete a Triple Crown comprised entirely of Omaha events. Last Sunday he took down the 50R on stars for 6.5k. This Wednesday he added a UBOC title to his resume when he shipped event #23: $200 PLO8 for just under 19k. This Saturday he shipped the 18k (normally 9k) guaranteed 30R on FT for just under 5k. Truly, what a beast this guy is. Update: November Niner Matt Jarvis came 2nd in the PLO/PLH event on Monday. Main Event Day1a starts Thursday. The structure is being edited to include 2 more levels and add an ante to another level. Should make for a great structure. The ME Satellite running tomorrow is expected to sell out about an hour before start time. Main Event expects to see a 100k+ 1st place prize

One of the most underrated beasts to grace the online felt, Chris "maxxscam" Back keeps putting up results without getting ANY recognition. In April he shipped the HU Omaha FTOPS Jersey for 40k. In August he scores a 2nd in a Omaha KO FTOPS for 32k and chops the Absolute 200k gtd for 32k, 3 days apart. More recently he shipped the rare "quad crown", taking down 4 events within a week: Last Sunday he took down the 20R on FTP. Friday he took down the 20R on Stars. lol @ all the hate in this thread. I was at the event when they chopped. Here is how it went down and why: 30 handed one guy realized the blinds were a gong show (not the eventual winner) and offered to make a chop where everyone would lock up 5k and they would leave 100k for the FT to split up how they see fit. ONE guy rejected the deal so they played on. About half an hour later, 23 handed, the same guy offered a chop and they paused the clock right before it was about to go up to 30k/60k 5k ante. Now, mind you, at this time, the shortest stack was 165k (3bb) , and the chipleader had ...

There are adjustments being made as we speak. I will link the structures as soon as the finished versions are available. Mr. Comely I'm sure accommodations will be handled with affiliate hotels, however, at this time I have not been informed as to which hotels will be accommodating us. In the past we have had good relations with Le Soleil. / All tournys will be capped at 200, with alternates, save the main event which will be split between the poker room and stadium club auditorium, and capped at 400.
