CL AKs early MTT This advice is all over the place.You say that you want to reraise big to get pkt pairs to fold. Then you say to not call big bets because you don't want to flip and end saying that you should push all in so that you can see all five cards. Pretty schizophrenic advice here. I don't really see a reason to try to get all in early in the tournament with AK unless it's some ridiculous hyper turbo or something. For the hand in question I would definitely three bet here in position. You don't have to go crazy but should probably throw in a nice three bet to thin the field a bit. Buy in would help ... SNG - Folding TT; thanks for your comments Leave the results out of it next time but I'm not folding TT here. Personally, I'm shoving it pre vs a 5x raiser and 21BBs. As played, in a $10 SNG the min flop bet is just screaming weakness and after your flop raise you have half your stack in the pot so I have no idea how you even folded the turn shove. Is this how Phil Ivey won at the UK casino - hope not! I disagree with this. Casino's come up with tons of ways to get money from their customers, including serving them large amounts of free alcohol in efforts to get them inebriated and drop money on their tables. No way should any player be obligated to inform the casino of anything like this. They make billions of dollars every year and should be able to catch problems like this. Ever fold QQ here? OP has over 40bbs and his open seems pretty standard. This is a pretty sick spot. You said you've been pretty active OP and the two villains should be aware of that. There are still a few to act after the 3-bet so I really don't think he's showing up too light but I think you could definitely be ahead of him here. The shove from the SB worries me. Trying improve... I don't mind the shove with KQ suited there. I don't like flatting with that stack in a turbo and if you three bet you're committing yourself anyway. Rule clarification From my experience, the person who makes the last bet and is called has to show their hand. In your case you reraised to 60 but didn't get called. I don't think you have to show your hand in this case and it's bad etiquette for the player to ask to see it. Posted in: Live Poker |
