Re:PUKEE SPOT! (wsop coverage) Although this episode tonight is sending a good message to the general public that poker is not all bad, and hopefully it sheds some light light on Poker in a positive way... being that this is a charity event. With all the negatives that have been in the public spotlight surrounding poker over the last year or so... maybe this particular event will help the public opinion of poker and poker players. But I will agree with you, I really wish they showed more episodes like they did last year of 1500s, 2500s, etc etc From a poker players perspective, this coverage sucks IMO MJ Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Interesting hand, flopped quads in the SB. What would your line be? I like the play on the flop but I probably lead the turn... I think that with this turn card peeling, no hands that gave action on the flop will not give action now here on the turn. Also on the outside chance (and I do mean outside chance) that it gets checked through, there are going to be a substantial amount of river cards that kill your action given that the villians have lots of 66-99 and maybe Ahigh in their ranges. However, I don't think flatting the turn is bad either, and leading the river for like half pot ish. I don't know, on second thoguth, with the size of a couple of ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Do I get it in 95% of the time? In position I prefer making my 3b's to about 2.8x the opening raisors raise... In this case, approx 16.5-17k ish or whatever would be my standard. In the case that you are out of position, I dont think this raise sizing is awful, but I'd probably be on the 21k ish size, to discourage them from flatting and seeing a flop in position. This particular hand is just a cooler... there's nothing you can do, and I think you are just being a tad results oriented here. I'd like to see some other hands, as this one is just UL GG. mj Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Line check: WWYD? I actually think this is closer to a fold than a raise preflop.... however at a table full of weaker opponents a raise is not bad. Regardless of your reasoning, open limping AJo here is not gonna show a profit longterm, so just pump it or fold. As played though, the bet on the flop is obviously good... If you have or if you have time to go to during the hand, this is a perfect time to see if the villian is a winning player or not. If he is a losing player over a larger sample I'd probably flat the turn and check call the river. If he has winning stats over a larger sample, with a decent ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:fold 1010 on the button? never ever ever ever folding here.... SS in the big blind is pretty much irrelevan, as I think he's sticking it in with any hand that plays reasonabally well, considering that he prob assumes he'll be HU against the SB with extra dead money in the pot... Re:80k sniper bubble spot. shove or fold? Spin is DEFINATELY NOT inexperienced... he is a high volume sng grinder at the higher stakes, and definately has some nice MTT scores in large buy ins.... one thing about his game is he does regularily raise fold on 12-17 bb stacks which is definately not optimal.... I think a shove here is decent given that fact, and I think he is flatting like KJs+ , any pair 22-77, A8s+ etc I think a shove here shows a profit Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Hand that I misplayed at Final Table - WWYD? I like the lead out on the flop... and althought the bet on the turn isn't bad either, given that his range should not include too many aces if he called that flop... I however might check shove the turn to maximize fold equity, as you really only have Jack high... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Uber tough 3 bet spot deep fold.... he is announcing by his raise size he's not folding, i think it'd be a sicker 4b spot if he started the hand with say 43k and made it like 8300 to go... but this player isn't folding and u only have an ace and a ten and they dont match, next hand dealer Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Borgata deepstack tourney situation...post comments Agree with what most ppl said... Three Bet size is a bit on the large side, and would prefer 50K~ish. I think you needed to come up with a plan before you 3b here as then you would not be left in this sticky situation... If i'm not comfortable playing for stacks here with a hand as strong as yours, I'd prefer a flat here... otherwise you may as well just 3b fold any two cards here. I think his range is heavily weighted towards 10s-QQ and AK as well, and with your large sized three bet, your getting a pretty good price on the call. Given you read, card removal, etc etc I think AA and ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Venetian 120$ turney? I played a few of these and this is what i can tell you: About 300 or just slightly more players About 7k for first Awful Awful stations, with usually a couple solid players at each table Super fast blinds, but automatic card shufflers help for hands/hour Turns into a total diceroll late... but that's beneficial for online players imo People dont understand push/fold poker there Nice overall nightly tournament GLGL mj Posted in: Poker Discussion |
