Best grinder ever???
names that immedietely come to mind that i just see over and over and over regardless of day of the week buy in site etc would be PremiumStud/iridium , Jeangrae/artofsuntsu, theczar19/enterthewu19, daize/imdanuts, I_M_ICM, Mement mori, Little Kraut/bobby kraut, there are some people out there that literally blow my mind with the sheer volume they can put in, i find it doable for a few days but to go on tears of doing it consistently for months at a time is inspirational, and also makes me wonder sometimes about real life situation for some of the true volume sickos.

Chris Big Huni Hunichen Chip leader WPT 10k foxwods world poker finals Day 4!! Heaps!
Can't say I have a ton of experience with Chris although i do talk to him from time to time, I think he has a confidence about him, and to that i would say that's ok and a lot of the players in the game do. I think hes a good guy whos helped a lot of people, and people should either come into a thread like this to wish their best and send their gl wishes or keep it to themself, sure not everyone has to root for everyone anytime they get a sweat, but you dont need to openly wish bad luck or i hope you bust either, I mean if you do feel that way about anyone in any tournament I think it's much ...

any interest in a mid stakes Nov team contest?
very interested planning to put in a ridiculous grind this month as to quit whining and bitching and just stop the downswing also having a new house that i need $ to furnish serves as good motivation. regarding stakes i think 163 and under freeze rebuy 30 and under cube 50 and under is fairly good

Sunday Million - 12 players left - Bad shove ?
this is a really fine like , i think if its 12 bb or less its a jam, i agree with people saying unless your getting rejammed a lot a 2.1x/fold is probably the most optimal, and i think a min raise will look stronger then an open jam to most competent thinking mtt'ers, just my 2 cents

Make up Hell...Longest you been in MU?
I just want to add a couple quick things, Mad respect to a lot of the good posts that have been put up in this thread, with the biggest shout out to Jmaster, i think you deserve a lot of respect for baring your soul for whomever to read when it comes to a story like that, i know i personally railed you and spoke a little during the wcoop competition, seem like a good down to earth guy, and I think if your still working at it after everything you've been through I dont see how you dont find the light at the end of the tunnel in one way or another. I think another aspect that from what I've ...

Do pros ever 4x their opens?
i dont know i mean, i think the best thing i can contribute to this thread is the fact that the trend over the last 9-12 months has seen people go from 2.4x-2.6x (which lots still do) to nowadyas a lot of the better mtt minds are min raising once it hits antes (lots at 100/200 etc also). I think anyone that plays a lot of volume has to be aware of this and has noticed it, so my 2 cents to add would be generally speaking i think the fact u see a lot of the better players gearing more towards this trend should mean that the 4x open is far from optimal in most situations. Obviously poker is very ...

Bad Play or unlucky. 10 left. FT Bubble.
personally that close to the final table i fold,,,, this is the exact attitude, every good mtt reg wants u to have, just look at the pay difference between 9th and 1st in all the mtt's u play regularly, you can ft the same tourney and get 9th 5 or 6 times, or ft it once and get 1st 1 time, and i dont need to tell you which is better, mtt is all about going after the win, so when you get to 14 players and, 12 players, you should be doing everything you can to chip up to be in good position when the ft starts, not be in shove or fold mold when it does, its not a good position to be in to be ...

Can you get away from this?
only thing i do any differently is your initial raise is a little too strong, i like 150 ish because of the limper, this way you will get 3 bet a little wider, when you make it 200 here, it is really signalling strength, which means it should tighten up his 3 bet range somewhat, that said, the way the mtt game is played nowadays with ppl 3 bet spewing all day every day it is just becoming harder and harder to lay down qq pre, i mean, if your properly rolled and playing with good br management, get it in, if your beat chalk it to a cooler and move on, ppl will show up with ak and jj too much ...

Bad Play or unlucky. 10 left. FT Bubble.
5 handed makes it that much worse and here is why, 5 handed all relative had strength's go up, so someone can look down at an A9 and reasonably assume he can be good here, i mean the important thing like i said earlier, if your opening out of 20 bigs on the ft bubble you should be praying someone is shoving on you, but ill take it one step further, to most good mtt players nowadays, a 20 bb open looks strange, some might even say it looks stronger then a jam, which is probably true, but the fact is your just not gonna find enough hands that your gonna be opening looking to get jammed on. ...

Illinois pros getting sued holy wow!!
After reading most of this, I for one want to say bigups to jlizard for his post, it really hits a lot of important points. ppl need to be looking at the big picture here, hell I live in canada, but what tarnishes the game in X number of states effects everybody, and his point about ppl refiling needs to be pointed out, Once ppl / lawyers/ etc become aware of this, it is pretty much expected there are gonna be some ppl sitting around reading this on here, 2+2 or whatever, and say hell if he can try it i might as well scrape up some $ and try it too, I mean i play for a living and lord knows ...

Bad Play or unlucky. 10 left. FT Bubble.
the easiest and simple answer to this question is given ur stack you should be jamming or folding, never opening, especially with hands like this, maybe you can open with hands you can comfortably call a jam with, but KT if someone 3 bets your mucking, and you shouldnt be raise folding from 20 bigs, this is the important lesson here.

Min Raise?
A lot of the stronger players have really hit a lot of the important points i find, there has been a general trend since about 2009 that went from 3x and now ppl are flat out min raising, i think there are a lot of things about it that make perfect sense. like others have said for all the hands your opening and are folding to a 3 bet your going to save those chips every time, also it allows you to perhaps open more often thus making it harder for opponents to accurately range your open. another point with the min raise open that you will notice is a lot of the time ppl will min raise, get 3 ...

Is this a leak? How BIG?
it kinda depends, i think the way the mtt game is beeing played nowadays if you check here and villain c bets if you flat him your probably going to be hard pressed to get more value on later streets, but you have a better chance of gainign the extra chips of his 1 cbet, however if you lead small and he actually has a piece you stand to win a bigger pot a lot more often by leading the flop. i have no idea what mtt this is or what the buyin is, sometimes the best advice in low limit mtt's is just play good solid fundamentals and there is nothing wrong with that whatsoever. As you move up to ...

Bold Predictions
My biggest goals for the remainder of 2010 , 1) quit complainign about running bad so much and just get used to it already, which leads into not really let the day to day stuff effect my play as much. 2) finally get a grasp on full tilt a little better, my stats are just way too skewed towards stars>ftp 3) get a 20k score 4) have a profitable sunday

Hate getting 3-bet? Limp.
this is pretty laughable, theres a reason the preflop aggression is so amped up now as opposed to say 2 years ago, thats because overall it leads to a much more +ev outcome overtime and better results, the truth of the matter is that there just aren't as many fish that are just going to spew/spaz off their stacks postflop to you anymore, and there are a lot more people that are going to put you in difficult spots postflop continuously, you can feel pretty sure that if limping and "trying" to play small pot poker was a very profitable approach to today's mtt scene you would see it a lot more ...

Hand vs. DrinkingBuddy... we're always shoving this right?
dont know where ppl are getting the image of drinking buddy as a complete maniac, more foten then not your crushed here, i think you can find a lot better spots then playing 99 in a 3b pot vs who is probably the best player at the table.

Mtt'ers..Best way to supplement Bankroll?
they way supplement in mtt players BR, is basically increase volume/decrease ABI (average buy in) , just pound out the volume, thats the simplest way to smash through variance/downswings/bad runs.
