Stud-8 did i do the right line here by not raising? I wanted to keep as many people in the hand as possible after i hit my set on 4th, and when i saw people reraising i thought the best option was to not raise myself unless it's checked all around for one street... After hitting my boat on 5th, not much could beat me from the texture of the visible cards. A chop was inevitable though. I _think_ I got the max I could have... a reraise at the end would have had one guy not call I think. And raising earlier on shows too much strength if people have weak lows. It seems that stars need to cliff note their TOS, as from the amount of people having multiple accounts, which is against the TOS, that not all players even bother reading it... Should have to take an exam on the TOS before you can play your first cash game/real money tournie, lol. I really dont see how the TOS are difficult to understand. It's like there's no sign up saying "please dont take money from the till" ... so you take money from the till thinking it's ok. But there's laws against it, which some people are ignorant about. Re:Party Poker back to U.S. market? I wasnt excited with the large investment into partycasino, partysports or sports betting etc etc and the reduction in focus on the poker aspect. I can still play there now as I live in australia, but the small fields with mediocre prize pools and their excessive 20% fee really disinterested me. I did enjoy the 5/10 FLHE tables tho. What I was always looking forward to but got canceled was that massive 'monster' tournament or whatever... Rules/Opinions on chip dumping Is this legal when its blatantly obvious dumping' With a few hacked accounts recently, I feel any activity like this is suspicious.. But is there a line drawn' ie, s'ok for micro cash dumping as it's small amounts... but higher limits it's frowned upon. Is this a way people get around straight up transfers' Made this post because I noticed a micro cash chip dump after reviewing some PTR stats for a player on fulltilt. Just another typical Sunday (monday for oz) I love playing the million... dont get to do it often due to it being on monday's in australia, but yeh anyway... After suffering about 4 or 5 horrid (but typical sunday) beats... and losing the minimum with AK vs JQo on an AKTr flop... I went from 44k to 5k chips in the end, and managed to work it back to 16k with 3000 left... Then I get this hand to finish me off and complete my run of beats. Re:What Happened????????? Yesterday at lunch I had $85 in my wallet, i paid $13.50 for lunch and a drink, and put the $1.50 in my pocket, leaving me $70 ($50 note + $20 note) in my wallet. Between the time of getting back from lunch to when i left the office for afterwork drinks, i had left my wallet on my desk a couple of times, and walked about the office. Re:Why bad beats do not exist. It depends how one defines a 'bad beat' then. If someone puts 50% of their stack in on a 2% shot and hits against your 98% favourite to win hand, I class that as a 'bad beat'. Re:Would you play on a site with no screen names? I'd be interested. But if they did something like have the usual list of players participating in the tournament. And then assign players numbers, but not connect these to the screen names until after the tournament is finished. So during the tournament you'll see Player 876 is in the lead with 143k chips, with Player 23 second on 95k etc. But at the end of the tournament if Player 876 wins, it'll show their screen name as position 1 etc instead of Player 876. With your stack compared to the table, shove pre, if everyone folds you pick up the limped chips as you're on the button... If you get a call, you're probably favourite to win and a good chance of doubling up... If you had more chips, then decide to play it different... But you're looking to double here imo. Like you might crush the $6, but keep busting out of $11 etc.. or someone goes really well in $109's but $55's dont go their way... Shipped first $33... but... ...I was going to write a post about which MTT's are people's bogey tournies... ie, the ones they just cant seem to get a run in... Mine was the bloody $33's!! my ROI for these are the worst of all mine... Last night I had 4th hand, AA vs AK all in pre flop and the guy hits K on flop and K on river.. Then tonight, first $33 was TJ suited vs T9 with my flush draw missing and we chop, AK vs AQ and queen, AK vs AJ and jack etc etc.. busto.. QQ facing a raise on an AAK flop stars nightly 70k, blinds 50/100 UTG+1 raises to 2.75x, I'm on the hijack, folds to my right and he smooth cools, i am dealt QQ, I raise to 7x (700), i've got 2x more chips than the table... both players call.. Flop comes down AKA with 2 clubs... UTG+1 checks, player to my right bets 1000 leaving him around 1300 left... I have 8200 behind... I sigh and fold, UTG+1 folds.. I really dont like these situations, and they occur more than I like... NOt sure what to do, I'm in position, but get bet out... Maybe instead of playing 84x$3.25 tournies you could play 8x$33 per day... You seem to chip up well, but fall to bits.
