Re:Venetian Deepstack vs 1k WSOP Events
Just take the Deuce bus to downtown. I think for $6 you get an all day pass.

Re:Interesting Tuff Razz WWYD?
Bet. If you check, you will likely get bet by villain anyways. You are almost never getting check raised here. Keep control of the hand. Even if he has made 7, you have great draw with 2 to come.

Re:First 5 figure score! (turning $4.30 into 12K in 2 weeks!)
Totally. It definitely makes you stay focused. It's too bad they don't have that many 8-game mix and HORSE tourneys. Would be nice for them to gain a little more popularity.

Re:First 5 figure score! (turning $4.30 into 12K in 2 weeks!)
In the beginning, I was playing the single table $1 NL sngs, 1 to 2 at a time. Then, I read an article on the Boku challenge, and tried 10 tabling (1/3 the Boku rate) those for a day. I made a pretty good return, but it was really mind numbing. After I built up to $100 or so, I started playing the $3.20 HU Omaha hi/lo sngs, and then the 6.25's. At that level, the players are pretty weak, so I was able to build up quickly. The 4 player HU shootouts were also really profitable. I have always had a problem with playing within my bankroll, so I thought this would be a good challenge to grind ...

First 5 figure score! (turning $4.30 into 12K in 2 weeks!)
Finished 3rd in SCOOP event 29L (8-game mix), but made deal with 3 left as chip leader for a little over 11K. Very nice feeling to finally win a big one! Pretty grueling tourney with 3100+ runners, 6 handed, and game changing every 8 minutes. Too tired to celebrate, but I did crack open a bottle of Michelob Ultra. That's how I roll! Sickest part is that I hadn't played on stars in a while, and noticed I had $4.30 left in my account 2 weeks ago. Grinded it up to over $500 playing small sngs, then won this thing tonight. Pretty crazy!

What to do with my points??
So, I have a little over 137K points. I also have rakeback. I have played a few of those 1800 point sngs for $26 tokens with good success. Do those tournies take away from rakeback' What's the best use of my points'

Re:Vegas Fri-Mon....which tourneys?
I was playing PLO at venetian a couple weeks ago. The game ran every night I was there, both 1-2 and 2-5. The games played pretty big (I was involved in a 4K pot pre-flop!). They started earlier than 8 most nights. This was during the deep stack, so it may not run as often now.

Re:Trip Planning, Venetian Deep Stack (may-july) HELP
Try Casino Royale. It's literally right next to the Venetian, and is very cheap. They recently renovated the rooms, so once you're in there, you don't feel like you're paying only $50 a night. Last time I went, got free rooms from Venetian and Caesars on the weekdays, but then got Casino Royale for around $60 per night on Friday and Sat. Some weekends in Vegas get pricey at the major hotels, so I'd check out CR. Can't beat it for the price or location. Or just play slots for a couple hours at the Venetian and get some sweet comps. They are really generous, esp ...

Re:Please help me explain why 22>AKo bvb @ 9 handed table.
It's just simple math. We're obviously not taking 14 RANDOM cards out of the deck. You just said yourself, we can assume 7 of the mucked cards are not an A or K. We don't need to know what else they folded to do the equation. There are 48 cards left in deck. 7 are not A or K. Therefore, just do the math. Just take the odds of NOT hitting an A or K on each street, multiply them together, and subtract from 1. Pretty easy. 35/41 x 34/40 x 33/39 x 32/38 x 31/37 = .43319 chance of not hitting A or K. Therefore chance of hitting A or K is 1- .43319, which is 56.68% All this talk of ...

Chance of hitting an A or K is 56.68%, assuming 7 of the remaining 48 cards are definitely not an A or K. And that is really all we care about, isn't it'

Re:Was anyone at the Venetian Last Saturday to see the guy completely lose it?
Had a similar chip shoving incident at the Venetian as well. About 2 weeks ago, playing in an omaha cash game, some girl (who had clearly been drinking) was being obnoxious for a couple hours. Although, she would also raise/reraise/cap the betting without looking at her cards, which is obvious awesome for the rest of the table. Later on, some guy from starts trying to explain to the dealer how he scooped the pot, and then this girl starts going off on him, telling him to let hte dealer do his job. Well, essentially the guy told her to be quiet and mind her own business. Next thing you know, ...

Re:Razz advice?
I play a lot of razz, and honestly, 2K for 4-6 tabling 5-10 is a bit low. It's a very beatable game, but there are definitely going to be some swings. Those who say it's not profitable to play professionally don't really have a clue about the game and how fundamentally math based it is. Full Tilt is by far the best sight for player volume, so stick with that. Also, I recommend playing mostly during the evenings, unless you feel like sitting down with all the regulars. I haven't played for a little over a month, but it seems like the games have tightened up a bit over the last ...

Re:Tough spot with QQ
I also took into consideration the fact that I was winning small, uncontested pots with a lot of frequency at this table. Therefore, I had to consider whether it was more +EV to just fold and continue growing my stack gradually. After his 4 bet, I put his range at 1010, JJ, KK, AA or AK. Against that range, I am essentially flipping a coin with a call here. I honestly don't agree that he wouldn't make this play with KK or AA. If he 4-bet lighter, it would give away his hand. So, a shove is great way to extract max value from a hand like 1010, JJ, QQ, or AK, which would likely call ...

Re:bankroll busto!
Back in June, I deposited $250, and built it up to $7200 in about a week. Then I had a complete meltdown multi-tabling 50-100 razz and lost it all in one day. That was the absolute worst feeling I've experienced playing poker. I think it is very important to set safeguards for yourself before you start playing, because if Uncle Tilty comes along, sometimes your rational game plan flies out the window. I think everyone with bankroll management issues needs to go through a really bad day to learn the lesson for themselves. Best of luck grinding it back up!
