He crossed the Atlantic because it was there, and the Pacific because it was also there. He made both crossings in a rowboat because it, too, was there, and because the lure of sea, spray and sinew, and the history-making chance to traverse two oceans without steam or sail, proved irresistible. In 1969, after six months alone on the Atlantic battling storms, sharks and encroaching madness, John Fairfax, who died this month at 74, became the first lone oarsman in recorded history to traverse any ocean.

normally go with a more vegetable based, healthy omelet like in the OP, but the cholesterol was feeling a bit low on this morning. so i sauteed some onions, added in some steak and ham threw that all in a 5 egg omelet w cheese and now the arteries are back to that, barely working, sludgy feeling

Your thoughts on organic foods
the less bacteria argument is funny to me because it is so counter intuitive. it's in a plant's self interest to fight off such things, ya know, to pass on their genetics. give any plant a living soil with a diversity of various minerals, green manures, composts etc and i'll take that blind all day over any inspected piece of produce. problem is, most large scale organic growers don't do this. like weed, grow your own. ever seen a veggie or piece of fruit dehydrate first and rot much later' that's what mine do. all the proof in the world

if you guys make it out of tallahassee with at win you should pretty much be penciled in for the BCS championship game FSU in year two of stoops and a real strength program will make the game much more competitive this time around. plus OU on the road vs OU in Norman is night and day most of the time. both teams return huge percentages of their 2-deep, gameday will be there, doak will be rocking.. can't wait

talent alone doesn't make NBA basketball better than what it's been in the past. the flow, effort, team concepts, offensive and defensive understanding/philosophies etcetc - all of these immeasurable and unquantifiable things(and many more) go into how good or bad the basketball is (for me anyways). and almost all of these things were better then than they are now. the quantifiable things - the size of the athletes, how high they can jump is better now than it is then, obviously.. no one is denying that I can appreciate how difficult it is for lebron or kobe to isolate, put it through ...

Tejas done goofed. Muschamp will be at worst a good to very good hire for UF. He's a very hungry coach who will put together a staff of 9 other highly motivated coaches. I was really hoping Urban would hang on for another year with his 40 hr work weeks for FSU's sake. Miami shouldn't be doing anything in the near future which will funnel more high end FL recruits to Tallahassee and Gainesville creating some good match ups over the next few years. Will has connects to put together a great, motivated staff and Florida has the funds to pay them. UF has all the infrastructure and they'll be ...
