This is a really really sick spot, and I think it has to be a fold. I mean, you said this guy was a solid player and it just seems ridiculous that we think we can put over 50 bb's in this pot and be ahead. Even though our hand is not entirely face up, I think he knows he can't r/c call without having an overpair beat (unless he has a monster combo draw). Also, after folding you are still table chip leader, and really your stack hasn't changed much at all. Seems like there is little loss in folding and too much risk in getting it all-in.

As everyone else is saying, fold pre, and honestly the second best option is to raise and hope to get stfc all-in with all that dead money (or obviously hope everyone folds but I doubt he can go anywhere pre and you're not getting a bad price against his range). The worst option is to limp. On the flop it is simple math, fold.

In a cash game I would never kill this hand, but I would warn this player strictly not to expose his cards (unless it is heads up, he can if he wants to for all I care). This post reminded me of the funniest most idiotic thing I have seen in a hand of poker at a casino. Basically, one guy raised pre with A3 and another guy called. Flop comes A24, A3 bets and the other guy shoves for like 100b's into a 10 or so BB pot. Aaron Kanter bad beat me in a FTOPS even for a monster chip lead and I went out 15th, he went on to win it. That was pretty sad, and like 3 years ago so I should really get over it.

Shane's not being stupid if he folds SB in order to shove profitably for an orbit with ATC. It is just that in this case the best thing for the big stack would also happen to be the best thing for the shorty. I mean next hand SB (not btn) gets to shove atc and new BB, the only stack to care about, has to call amazingly tight (assuming SB folds, if SB calls BB can call fairly loose). Therefore Shane gives up 4k in order to get a practically free 12k next hand.

The BB has to beat BOTH our hands AND we have to lose to SB in order to take third in this scenario. If SB beats us both, we take second, if BB beats us both but we beat SB we gain huge chip lead, and if we beat both we obv have huge chip lead and BB is knocked out. I think flatting pre is the best play, SB flatting, BB shoving and call/checking it down is optimal. But if that doesn't happen and SB shoves and BB FOLDS we could possibly consider folding. Though I think I would still call 'cause we have SB's range crushed enough of the time.

I think you played it pretty optimal, except I personally probably don't complete SB but whatev. River I can't really see anything better than a c/c. c/f>b/f imo.

Lee is very respectable and I think he is handling this situation the right way. Still crazy but prob just a minor glitch, could even be that microsecond disconnect glitch that awarded Hellmuth the pot on UB, or something like that. Will be nothing to really worry about.

wow tough. First instinct is raise to a size where Wretchy probably wouldn't shove light, like 140k/f Though induce raising is interesting too but it makes a play a huge guessing game for a lot of chips. Folding seems out of the question and calling is prob bad (but honestly this deep I'm not completely sure)
