Anyone have FTP deny a transfer to someone you've transferred2 previously' I'm backing a buddy and we both agreed he could sell some chips to a common friend that he sent some to a month ago successfully. Now ftp has denied a second transfer to that player and it has me worried that he won't be able to just transfer my money to me and he'll have to cash out to get square. His email said that he had to have completed a deposit with his payment processor ( which he has,along with several that I directly sent to his acct with MY credit card) and have his full name and address on ... I've played with Belandator a lot and I've always found him to be a good dude and a good player who doesn't talk smack when I've been at his table. However, he stands up for himself and doesn't take any shit from knuckleheads who throw shiznit at him. As the (donk)villian in this hotly contested scenario, may I say that first off , a touchpad on a laptop is an evil thing that will occasionally misclick if you excitedly apply pressure whilst your cursor is floating over the wrong button and that despite that-I actually cashed higher than Mr. Soprano,lol. I didn't like it at the time, especially since I actually took a few moments to consider the situation before acting, but I wasn't that concerned afterwards being that it was very early in the tournament and I was still in good shape chips-wise at my table. Re:pokerscars...the next chapter Looking over my hand histories, I noticed the same situation , then starting REALLY watching every time I played, ALL hands involved w a big stack vs small and it just seems insanely wrong how often the fucking big stack can get it in wrong and suck out ...Small stacks just get screwed over and over and over and even more so come bubble time. Hate to buy into it but , the software seriously seems to favor big stacks and its almost as though folks know it by the insane calls peeps make w/incorrect odds then proceed to crush the smaller stacks. Maybe Michael Josem can do statistical analysis at stars... We all see the "tinfoil hat" conspiracies posted here and at other forums and many of us probably give them some ,to a lot of creedence, after you've ran like hell for a week straight or so,lol. I'd like to see Michael Josem do some statistical analysis at Stars now that he's employed there after breaking open the cheating scandal at UB. Maybe he could put to rest some nagging questions or confirm the paranoia some of us have about certain situations in online poker that we see posted about all too often such as: 1. Do shortstacks win coinflips ANYwhere near even 10% of the time on Stars? Sure doesn't seem they do in my experience-0 for 10 times in 3 tourneys today- I counted them....If the AQ hits vs 99 etc. then the smaller pair with the bigger stack hits a set or quads lol.done venting,removing tinfoil hat,feeling better after spouting conspiracy theory.That is all. Re:ive lost my faith in THE MATH & GOD Take a week off, play no poker and try not to think about it at all. Eat healthy, sleep well, or party your arse off. Come back (maybe at a site you haven't played at much or at all just to change the scenery up),play single table sng's following strict bankroll mngmt and ride the variance out and build a roll AND more importantly your confidence. Give the MTTS a break until your roll and your confidence are on the upswing.Good Luck. Re:UB and AP poker The saddest aspect of this to me is that most players on ub/ap are completely unaware of anything that transpired. After maybe 3 months, I actually went back I admit, (assuming after the situation came out it was probably the safest place to play for AP's fear of losing traffic)and not many I played with were aware of the situation. Beyond our little community it wasn't well publicized. The criminals who perpetrated these crimes were not prosecuted and as far as I can tell not penalized in ANY way. AP didn't even name names. Actually had a 50/50 entry refunded after 2-3 weeks waiting for a reply to my email. One of the reasons ( along with stars VASTLY superior customer service) I play more on stars now. considering finding a mentor/coach...some questions I've read the books,played the hands,poured over this and that "other" unnamed forum daily, and even had a little success and feel like I'm missing something that is in my blind spot to further my game. I'm considering seeking out a mentor/coach or signing up for one of the instructional sites. I'm interested in bettering my skills in MTT'S. Re:Best alternative internet connections in case of disasters? I use a sprint BB card about 60 miles N of Indy (rural- no hi speed available here) and: it sucks balls point blank. Particularly bad on full tilt, where in conjunction with ftp's shitty reliabilty, it's good for a disconnect or 2 a day followed by approximately 5 minutes trying to reconnect whilst cursing and heading towards tiltytown.Also surfing the net is SLOW and painful.At least their customer service is horrible.GG me for signing a contract w/ them lol.
